If you do passport renewal, your valid visas in such passports will still be valid, your new passport will carry your expired passport number along with the new one, hence you see people (either dual citizens or expired passports and new passport holders) traveling with two or more passports

I forwarded this to an officer at the alausa NIS, and I was told only a high ranking officer can do this for you or you wait until its due for renewal ( 6months before expiration ) it'll cost you 4x the original price according to him, if you're in Lagos, he can help you out, if you're not, make sure you're handing it over to a high ranking officer else you'll wait up to a year, according to him.

Hi guys, please did anyone here capture on feb 8 this year at Ikoyi, any info if you got your passports already?
Communicated with an insider there last week and he said the passport numbers being produced at the moment are digits starting from 120 and mine falls in category of 130.
Anticipating responses please.

Please I just tracked the passport application my family but mine is on application received (application pending enrollment) unlike ready for enrollment (application is at the selected passport office for biometric enrollment) for others. Mine is renewal though and others are fresh. Do I need to do anything? Our capturing date is 3rd of May.

No, you do not need to do anything for now. 24 hours after you capture, check your tacker again.
I hope that there's no disparity between your NIN and data provided when filling the online application form.

Hi bosses, quick question, about the guarantor's form, is it compulsory the guarantor fills part 2&3 (the part where "to be completed in case applicant proceeding oversea" is written)?

Also how many photocopies of all the required documents should be made?

For those who care to listen, DIY is easy, smooth and stress free if you go to NIS in Lagos with all the right documents. From my experience, DIY application shouldn’t take more 15days in Alausa. I did mine in Alausa within 14days (32 pages) last year December and my wife is currently processing hers (64pages 5years) which she is expected to pick up next week Thursday.

NB: The collection date my be extended if there’s shortage/ non-availability of booklet.


Also, I must say that Mrs Chioma in Alausa passport office is a wonderful woman.

my guarantor did not fill that part,we don't even understand what that section is all about! maybe when I get there on Wednesday,I go ask!
