oloriooko: Mertens too .. but honestly,Napoli did made a push for the league title the past few season with the trio still with them.... Injuries and some selfish plays cost them eventually |

So, there's a trending news item on social media where Okocha said in an interview that he'd be worth €150m in today's transfer market... Do you guys agree with him? M7even: I think due to MRI,some of the guys that participate in the zonal qualifiers are no longer eligible... Some kids grow real fast you know .. but I trust Nduka Ugbade to assemble another formidable team |

Common, while it's ok to produce receipts to show that we at least occasionally make wrong predictions. Read, make sure you understand, and reply. The second step is very important. He repeatedly used the word as it stands, and you repeatedly missed it. . Not nice. That's very important to that submission. mostob: |

The core of the team remains except mainly the midfielders who were knocked out via strict MRI screening. They (the core midfielders from the wafu B) were screened out since they clocked in at grade 5 (note highest is Grade 6). We didn't wanna risk going to the Afcon with players on Grade 5 who might also be MRI-ineligible by the time the WC proper comes around. The NFF set the team's MRI limit at Grade 4. So the likes of Midfield Dynamo, Ebube Okere, Deeplying MF, Ozor Okeke, Physically imposing midfield battler, Raphael Oyebanjo and CDM, Basil Mbata all miss out on the Afcon squad. The team will parade new midfielders. But the likes of Emmanuel Michael (FK Specialist), Top Striker Abubakar Abdullahi, First Choice GK Richard Odoh, Gangling Right back Yahaya Danjuma Lawali, CB Jeremiah Olaleke, Forward and Skipper Precious Williams and Winger Jubril Azeez are there. The boy in the pic shown is Isaac Aondoakaa. Word have it that he is a truly talented player. I also know a few new names added like Charles Agada of Mavlon FC and Ifeoluwa Olowoporoku of Triple 44 academy. Both very talented. Agada especially have had Youth trials in Spain. It's still a relatively solid U17 side so expect good things from the team. M7even: 1 Like |

John Barnes on Super sports' PL Africa Greatest XI recently admitted that Okocha in his prime was indeed the most skillful footballer on the planet even more than Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and anyone. That is true. And that is solid high praise for a player of Okocha's talents. Now, 150million euros might be an exaggeration but remember that in 1998, he was already an Afcon champion and a pioneer gold medallist in football at the Olympics for a fast rising African Football powerhouse. The question we should ask ourselves is... would there have been any club willing to pay 150million for Okocha if the market of 1998 was exactly like today's? My answer is probably yes. Enzo Fernández, yes a recent WC winner, is not even half as Technical as Okocha. He is not close to a quarter of the technical quality Okocha oozes in midfield and he isn't much of a goal scoring midfielder either yet he went for 120 million Euros. How come? It's all about perspective and about which club is willing to cough out such amount for a talent as big as Okocha was indeed. You are worth whatever any club is willing to pay for you. Problem gambling is not having effects on Nigerians only it is a problem world over. At some point the UK government was considering banning football clubs in the premier league and the other divisions from using betting companies as shirt sponsors. This was the comment of one of the individuals calling for the ban on betting advertisement. Pettigrew, who set up his own charity GamTalk to talk to children about gambling, also believes the number of adverts should be reduced. "Football is the national sport and the adverts have been subconsciously ingrained into kids from a young age," he said. "They are bright and colourful and catch your eye. "I'm a football fan as well and the last thing I want to see is any clubs going under, but there are plenty of other sponsors they could get. "Clubs are already not allowed gambling sponsors on kids' shirts, which almost admits there is something wrong andrew444: 1 Like |

Danielnino00: Well he was once tagged d most expensive transfer in Africa (18million usd ) from psg to fenebarche den Like nerdie, rightly said,it depends on d club who truly needs his service would determine if Dey can spend such an amount for his service However judging from todays strict business kind of football play, very few clubs will b willing to pay such an amount for his kind of player. |

elyte89: I will disagree. Jjay is one of the most gifted, technically astute and talented player's ever. JJay got away with murder , over dribbling and making poor decisions because he wanted to showboat. He was given carte blanche to what he likes ,the environment was not as disciplined as it is now. In today's environment Jjay would have had to Adapt and be way more disciplined and following the team strategy as opposed to playing for Me, Myself and I. All that his arrogance would have been curbed after a few games warming the bench. His value if he adapted that I cannot say but at least £75million. But when I compare him to Enzo Fernandez that Chelsea payed over £100 million for then the possibility exists of him going for over £100 because a humble and not arrogant, focused, disciplined and diligently Jjay will be much BETTER. |
