Good evening all,

Lexusgs430 and elders here what do you suggest. I was told to produce right to work before my application can be processed and they are giving me 5days to produce it. my student visa expires after mid june and I am yet to get PSW. I applied for an intership which is a pathway (i think o) to a fulltime offer. This company has not even done interview , and I am told to bring right of work. Please elders, what do i tell them considering the point listed below or i should just move on. I didnt lie at any point to them.

you will need to provide evidence in the form of a letter from your university confirming all the points below:

You are available to undertake an internship late June/early July 2023 until the exactly one year after.

Your Tier 4 visa will be valid until the end of your academic course, including the placement year, should you successfully secure an internship with XXXX

You are available to work for 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.

We will not be able to progress your application until this letter has been received as it confirms your right to work in the UK. We appreciate this can take some time to obtain so if you are waiting for this letter to be produced, please send an email to xxxxx and we can review your status.

On face value, this is not standard internship. It looks and quack like a placement. Those one integrated with a program: the likes of your MSc+ placement

Hello guys I need help please.
UK has fraustrate my life and I haven't been myself since this year because of my school fees.

1.) Last year I came into UK on student visa, and i initiated form A to pay the remaining balance of my tuition fees but it wasn't processed fast before school deadline, and school was sending treat messages that they will cancel my visa and report me, out of fear I resulted in buying black market with the funds and pay part of the money, unfortunately pounds rate was around 1k as against the N550 i would have used to pay all the balance.
Now I don't have any money to pay the remaining balance as i couldn't get job all this while until December ending last year and house rent and food stuffs is eating up, now school is sending my messages to pay my balance else they will report me to UKVI, I have not been able to think straight since January, I can't even focus on the studies and to make my matter worst we are written exams, with my frustrations I don't know what to write in the exam self.
Out of 24hours am using 18hours to think about this issues because I have wasted about 18m in this UK waka with no positive return yet.

2.) Am thinking of looking for sponsorship and switch my visa and drop from school and start building up again

3.) What are my options if I failed to pass this masters can i still get certificate if i manage to beg school to allow me pay small small in 1 or 2 years because i know already that I have failed as I not focused since this year due to school fees and we are written exams as well after doing course work.

I really tired of the school and want to move on with my life and focus on other things.
Am into technology and programming currently am trying to get certification as AWS cloud DevOps Engineer.

Please guys i need your advice on what to do because I hardly smile anytime i go to work, most times I try to fake it but inside i know am in pain.

Welcome to the thread and to NL. Others will attempt to proffer way forward. In the meantime, kindly read through this thread, if possible from 'pali to cover'. There're lots of nuggets; some hidden within jokes and banters.

- Create or Initiate Form A on the trade system portal showing the total funds that needs to be paid. Screenshot all the vital parts

- Explain to the school with screenshots from the Tradesystem portal that the transaction takes time from Nigeria

This can buy you time to source for funds and what you should have done initially as they will see that you have requested for the funds from Nigeria but bank delays will mean it will come in much later

Allowing fees issues to affect your exams will only make you lose both ways if sponsorship doesnt show face. If UKVI checks your records and sees that you're also failing, it wont be a nice outlook

Sorry to hear about your situation, the journey to that promise land isn’t always smooth at times, some people might be fortunate, 18 million naira no be joke o0, some britko don’t even have up to that but their life is soft.

Try to source for a loan either from Nigeria or here online using your credit score checker app, since you don’t have much to balance the school, then continue searching for that sponsorship and continue hustling while you pay back the loan bit by bit.

Please how do I go about travel insurance for Schenghen visa? I intend visiting family in Sweden. I saw post office and also saw something about GHIC I'm a little confused.

I was looking at the GHIC option yesterday as well. There requirement is to use a 'Medical travel insurance' which you can get as low as £3 anyway. I got post office for about £5

I want to ask sth. We all know employers and agents share this sponsorship money on percentage, nothing is free.

But if yawa gas from home office, can the employer be exonerated since they didn’t collect money directly from the employee. Or employer go follow chop inside the yawa

Just asking

In the case I know personally ...home office didn't care about employer or agent. The licence was stopped and the company told to close although it currently in appeal process

So nothing really happened to the agent but mostly the company that was affected by the closure and off course all staffs with COS in that company got 60 days notice to leave or change.

Hello everyone,

We live in a 2 bed Apartment and we got a mail saying they wanted to inspect the apartment. When the rep from the agency came he took pictures of the walls saying that we repainted the walls and they were not evenly painted and that we werent supposed to touch the walls. I felt bad that we painted. I specifically didnt hang anything on the walls. He also mentioned that the carpet was not as it was when we moved in. (8mnts ago).

Now we got a mail from them saying we didnt keep the apartment clean enough and asking us to start looking for another place. We did call their office the next day and were told to move and that our deposits will be used for the repainting and a new carpet. There were no stains on them. I usually clean any stains out immediately. But she said we bleached the carpet which we didnt. I argued that surely it shouldnt be all the deposits but the lady said except we dont want their references for when we get another apartment. She also mentioned that its best we move now so they can give us a good reference. And that if we dont move they would give us a quit notice to leave in 2 months. I'm so sad as I just had a baby and moving can be stressful.

I want to know if there's anything we can do as tenants. Maybe any rights we have? We are on tier 4 and we don't want to rock the boat. I really dont know what we can do at this time. Can we argue this with them or we should just move? I know we are at fault about the painting but everything else was intact and they even mentioned that we are low maintenance and that our rents comes in even days before the due date. I just need clarifications pls.

Thank you.

MPs have urged the UK government to launch a public inquiry to assess the effects of Brexit in a parliamentary debate triggered by a petition.

A three-hour debate was held after 183,000 people signed a petition calling for a public inquiry into the impact of leaving the European Union.

The government says Brexit was a "democratic choice" and dismissed calls for a public inquiry.

But some MPs branded Brexit a "disaster" and an "error".

They seem to be gradually admitting that Brexit was a mistake and misadventure.

Depending on the kind of yawa.

If the employer does not abide by terms of employment like minimum salary payment, home office will deal with them (not because you paid agent but because they broke employment laws).

But if the yawa na say you just go report about paying for the job, the employer can simply deny you except you have verifiable indicating evidence. In this case, both payer and payee will be dealt with.

Hi Guys, I just found this on Twitter. The Labour Party is forming a discussion group for migrants who work in certain areas. It pays £35 for 2 hrs. Here's the link

I suspect they intend to remarket the property at a higher rental price point, hence the seemingly flimsy excuses.

Where are you based and do you know if your deposit is protected?

Oh that enquiry is happening sooner or later. If contrey gets even harder than this as it will, it may not even be needed as will be clear to all and sundry that we ve been royally freaked by Brexit and its proponents.
