If you don't mind and if you can still remember, what documents did you include to support his application, and was he granted. I'm in a similar situation and want to reapply for my brother who is in 400level of a 5 year course. He has been refused based on financial evidence and not showing enough proof that he is a student. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

You can use your account, Student visa is point based as long as you meet those points, submit authentic documents and are a genuine student you should be fine

Also your POF is for your study in the UK.

Please I have a question. My WAEC Certificate has only my surname and first name (no middle name on it).

It was what I submitted to get admission, now I am in the processing of applying for Visa, do I need an affidavit? All other documents carry first, middle and surname.

Also, I have Naric proof of English certificate but I didn't submit this to the school.

Please I wanna ask if I can use my personal bank account and that of my kiddies (son's - dependant) bank account which has a lump sum of amount in it for POF. But the money in both accounts are fixed deposit which tenures matures in June and July 2023 end respectively.

1. Can I use the statements for my Visa application or should I liquidate both and combine the sums in one accounts for the POF .

2. If I apply for Visa by next month May , how long would it take for me to get a response as I'm heading for September intake .

1. Fixed deposit is not acceptable and can't be accessible
2. You need to wait until you have a reasonable funds in your account to showcase your competent of not seeking for public funds while oversea. Besides your fixed tenure will get to June/July, thou you can still apply within such time frame and get a quick response either using for priority service et el..

Unless otherwise, if you currently have funds to prove you can sustain yourself and whoever depending on same available funds. Hope this helps. Cheers

You pay along with your visa application fees. Calculate your IHS through links posted in this forum.. pls check backwards

Yes you can use your fixed deposit accounts (also known as Certificates of deposit) as long as it's held for the required 28 day period.

It sounds like you don't know this but for any premature liquidation, a charge (like any fixed deposits) will be deducted from the contractual interest rate. That you can't access the fixed deposit until the end of the tenure is simply inaccurate. The last sentence says "that the applicant can access the funds at any time". ECOs follow the guidance and understand how certificate of deposit works.


You have to read waaaaaaaay back to see successful applicants who have used Fixed term.

Can I submit a work reference I started in November last year why applying for VISA? Nysc was 2020 but can't get a work reference I submitted on my CV for school admission which fills 2021-2022 mid-year. Good afternoon, please I applied for visa for my sister who has lived in Istanbul for over a year, checked and saw she doesn’t need tb test and there is no tb test center in turkey sef ( we also asked a friend who applied from Istanbul and he didn’t use a tb test too) just got nsf to provide tb test .
