I was suprise and confused, i rushed back home and told my mother about the weird development which we immediately went back to the teaching hospital, tests were carried out and i was given drugs with no assurance of hearing again. That was how i become a regular in the teaching hospital for close to a year with no improvement.

I was later refered to abuja for some tests and was placed on one drug(something betahistine dyhydro) but all was in vain.

My condition was rare;i will not hear any speech but can hear loud sounds, if i'm in a noisy place, the noise will be repeating in my head for days. If i went to church, the sound from drums will be in my head for days etc

I tried visiting specialist too but all efforts did not yield any positive result.

Then my mother start taking me to men of God, we prayed,fast and do everything possible but nothing changed.

Due to the fact that i was not comfortable with any slight noise, i move to the village.

I became a shadow of myself and life was/is difficult.

Go to AUDIO MEDICAL DEVICES, ENUGU.
They are specialists in tinnitus problems. You will be fitted with a tinnitus noise blocker.

It happened since 2015 when i was admitted in a teaching hospital(doctors told me that my problem was typhoid) and treated for months. When i was about to discharged, i noticed that one of my ears was not functional which i complained immediately to the docs there told me that my condition was critical and was consequently administered hard drugs which is clearly the cause of my partial deafness and was given an appointment in 2weeks time to follow up about the new ailment. I came back home using only one ear.

After about 5days at home, i enter okada to the use an atm in town, upon reaching the bank, i joined the atm line to made my withdrawal, it was there that an old friend started talking to me that i discovered that both my ears were not functional.

ADVICE
Drink warm water every time you needed to drink fluids for like 30 days consecutively. Also bathe warm water always whether it's a sunny day or not.
Eat plenty fruits like Bananas

Apricots

this is a sad situation,on top of the problems we are having in Nigeria you are in this type of dilemma,why not use ear mufflers that stop noise entering your ear,like the ones used by airport ground staff,I don't like the idea of cutting your hearing completely,the condition may gradually get better with time,I am also imagining what can make someone wish to go deaf,t must be a very serious problem

I don't have any thread on this. But the knowledge I just shared was a result of deep research. This was due to the fact that few years ago, Tinnitus made me and some others uncomfortable. Trust me, I visited one of the best Government ENTs in Nigeria, I had the ear flushed, and all to no avail. What saved me was Onion, and in less than 2 weeks, my hearing was back to normal with blissful night sleep. Trust me on this!

So what if the ear drum is perforated?

You'll have to wait for it to heal by itself, maybe in 2-3 weeks. While at it, take zinc (50-100mg daily), beef liver and eat lots of pineapples too (if you can afford it). It'll heal. Once healed, then commence that process.

You can pray for him from the Lord's Chosen. Ask him his real name via DM and pray for him during the service. I believe he doesn't have to be present at the Lord's Chosen to be healed. Yes?
