Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 9:18pm On Apr 27, 2023 |
BlueRayDick: Another point to note is that, due to low volume of passengers, it will be difficult to get direct flights from most airports within the country to Ebonyi. This will send the cost of flight to Ebonyi over the roof. Flight from say PH to Ebonyi will go to Lagos or Abuja before Ebonyi. A lot of people will not be able to afford it thereby rendering the airport even more useless. |

izzou: Every Entrepreneur goes into business for Profit and not social welfare as you suggest Mr Obi should. LOL, Nigerians. As an MD you report to a Board of Directors and your duty is to return the highest dividends for their investments. Obi as an astute Entrepreneur will not suggest to his Enemy to invest in Producing in Nigeria with a hostile business environment using always increasing diesel prices to generate electricity for yourself when you could pay 100 times less for electricity and production cost with your base in Ivory Coast that has stable power supply for ages despite coming out of a bloody Civil war just about 20 years ago. While Michelin and many other Global conglomerates are selling their Nigerian assets and moving to Ghana and smaller neighboring countries to produce and sell to the Nigerian market, you expect Obi to do the reverse, huge joke. Before you ask me why he now "Propels the Gospel of Local Production" Did you choose to forget that Obi earlier propelled the gospel of massively increasing power generation with details of his study and strategy to achieve same. It's on this foundation he can now advice anyone and even the companies that have left Nigeria to return their production plants to Nigeria. Next... 2 Likes |

Theflint1: Well, truth be told Obi has businesses that produce in Nigeria and market across west Africa. While I do not know all his businesses because the man is just not loud, I remember that leading up to the elections, even here on Nairaland, people tried to make mockery of his ownership of Hero beer. Which they forgot is owned by the same Holding company, Sab Miller, which produces Grand malt also. It's actually Sab Miller that Obi is involved in. So I ask is Hero beer, Grand malt not produced in Nigeria since around 2003 . |

A001: The Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the NEC meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. According to the minister, the NEC concluded in its meeting that it is not a favourable time for the action. She stated that the Council deliberated on the matter and resolved that it cannot be removed for now, but it equally agreed on the need to continue the discussion on the matter and the necessary preparatory work in conjunction with states and representatives of the incoming administration. Ahmed said, “What I said is that it is not going to be removed now; which means it is not going to be removed before the transition is completed. But then the two laws that have inadvertently made the provision that we should exit (subsidy) by June. “So, if the committee’s work, which will include the representatives of the incoming administration determine that the removal can be done by June, then the work plan would be designed to exit as at June. “But if the determination is that the period needs to be extended, it will mean that, as a country, we will have to revisit the Appropriation Act because the 2023 Budget only made provision up to June. “So, if we are extending beyond June, it means we have to revisit the Appropriation Act and do a Supplementary or amend the bill and also the PIA.” https://www.channelstv.com/2023/04/27/breaking-nec-suspends-removal-of-fuel-subsidy/ |

NEMA is responsible for the Evacuation primarily, because the Agency is the one handling Transportation and other Logistics, but its always Abike that must be dragged! |

Oando take delivery of Nigeria’s first mass transit Electric Buses. “Our electric vehicles offer outstanding performance due to their advanced technology capabilities and testing for different terrains; all of which make our buses particularly well suited for use as a public transportation option in Nigeria.” - OANDO Oando Clean Energy Limited (OCEL) and the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) are working together on this project.

....... still on Nigeria’s First Mass Transit Electric Buses. OCEL has also taken delivery of the charging stations and spare parts necessary to ensure their effective operation. Over the next seven years, and through the rollout of over 12,000 buses, this initiative will transition the current combustion mass transit buses to electric, starting in Lagos State and eventually across the country. The Oando -Yutong Joint Venture Partnership is expected to, among others, “manufacture and deployment of additional electric buses during the Pilot and Roll-out phases of the partnership with Lagos State through LAMATA; design and facilitate training programs targeted at the following critical stakeholders – bus drivers, bus operators, and regulators including but not limited to LAMATA and the Ministry of Transport.
