Hello all Pls if ur visa is already approved but medical expired before you left and u already done a new one,do u have to wait till its passed before you can travel or the fact u have done a new one is sufficient I ask coz the letter on introduction states when the medical expires so i thought one would need an updated LOI before travelling.please note its an SOWP visa and was issued last month Please if u have experienced this, kindly assit as i need to travel very soon |

PrinceAdeAde: Once your visa has been approved, your application is already close . Do the new medical, send it as webform & email the slip to IRCC, hold the medical slip when you are traveling. You don’t need to wait for update as there’s nothing like updated LOI again. 3 Likes |

Hello good people, our God is good all the times! I recently received a Passport request from IRCC. Application was submitted on March 15, 2023. Now, I have got a question. Do I need to pay for Package Transmission Service Charge when submitting my passport via courier to the VAC? Note I did my biometric at the same VAC... 3 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Mackie1(m): 9:13am On Apr 28, 2023 |
SLOVFO:To be clear. If you had your biometrics in for eg Lagos and you're sending your passport to same Lagos you don't need to pay Transmission charge. It's only required when you're sending to a different VAC.. Congrats. 4 Likes |

I have other question please, Has anyone used mutual funds or money market funds as proof of funds from a sponsor and the application was successful? Please, let me know how to present this giving that my husband is my sponsor and we think leaving the fund in his account is better than putting it in my own and explaining the lump sum. I am not using my statement of account to apply. Doing my finishing touches to hit the submit button. |

thebabiebird:My suggestion is that you go to Qlife office if you are in Lagos, they will schedule you with your medical request asap but if you are to make the booking yourself, you have to wait for Mondays - make sure you are already at the booking site by 8am . They open it up between 8and 8:30am and it may not last for 15mins. Note. You must make payment with your card before your booking is completed. If you have tribal mark, be ready to spend extra 7500 on the exam day for Hep B & C tests. Secondly, you can send email to qlife and they will honour your mail and book you because you have the medical request. As at ending of March, they couldn't book you if it is for upfront medicals no matter how many mails you send. Thirdly you can send IOM mail. Attach your medical request from IRCC, you passport data page, your IME number and state the visa type. You will reply you with a date and if the date good for you, proceed to make payment and keep your proof. The acct details are on the site. You can only be allowed in your your booking confirmation and payment receipt. No payment is refundable please. 2 Likes |

mummyprincess:Yes. I used Stanbic IBTC mutual fund as part of my proof of funds. However, I included both the account statement and reference letter. I also stated in my sop that I have access to the funds there anytime. Finally, I withdrew my one year tuition out of the mutual fund to my bank account and left only the living expenses (I did this to prove I had access to the money. I can't say for certain if it's compulsory). 1 Like |

I did my medical yesterday (27th April 2023). Should I send the e-medical slip to IRCC through a web form or I should wait till it is updated? And how long does it take before it will be updated? |

I also need help on compressing my document. I looks like I am not using the Adobe distiller right; but was able to compress a file to 9 in stead of the 4 required with another Adobe tool. What can easily do this job for me please? |

Hello Gurus in the house. Can you help me to confirm if my funding details below and in the screenshot is adequate this time around after my refusal last year due to inadequate funding/asset. Got an admission for a 2yr MSc program. The total tuition fee for the 1st year is 13,513 CAD while the second year is a smaller fee of just 4,300CAD. I have fully paid more than the 1st year tuition fee in advance (i.e 13,600 CAD). I also have additional 18,358 CAD in my bank accounts and 9,000 CAD guaranteed funding for 1st year from the university. I don't want to add the second year renewable funding for now since it has not been officially awarded. See screenshot below. Please is this adequate for me to reapply now? Thank you.

Engr2016: Fill the total cost of your 2years tuition fees in the Tuition cost, while you fill the total cost for your living expenses for 2 years in the “funds available for your stay”. Cheers |
