Ordinary Stupvd one new worker of one of our Subsidiaries i was trying to give a warm welcome and pleasantries. Would you believe the fool didn't reciprocate my good gesture. He was so full of himself and replied me rudely and arrogantly. This is not the first or second time i am experiencing this with different people. A lot of people are just Sadist in Nigeria.

True....most HR are actually overworked, especially those in big organisations were they oversee salary issues, onboarding and staff discipline as well. Some even are in charge of admin. People only know about the recruitment part.

Being overworked is not an excuse for not knowing how to manage time and schedule things properly. It will even help them do their job better if they schedule candidates properly. Some HR people just continue to do things the way they have been doing it over the years, without looking to see how they can improve their process.
Sometimes, a simple survey to all the job candidates after the interview can open their eyes to many things.

We don't value people's time in Nigeria. It's one of the reasons we're not progressing.
In a western country that won't happen without many apologies or asking you to select another time for rescheduling!

It's being wicked and insensitive to the sufferings of other people.

During a certain job interview for a supervisorial position in an upscale restaurant in Abuja, we were blatantly ignored for several hours..... From 8am to around 5pm. Jesus!

We waited and waited until everyone's eyes were glazing over from hunger, tiredness and boredom.

We needed a job so we couldn't do anything.

Some people left. We stayed.

The interview started around 5.30pm.

I was busy at home around 11pm same day when the message came in: "Resume training tomorrow".

I was happy. A worthy consolation.

I once walked out of a job I review when they were asking me who is the minister of education. I went for an engineering interview and you are asking me stupid question. I was later called to meet the MD, I still rejected the offer.
