its a visitors visa app. And If you know any MP contact I can send mail to. On the tracker did you see your background verification completed or in progress. My status still showing in progress on the tracker. Also since you have received your BVL. You should have your request for passport soon. Lets say today/Monday. Hopefully right.

Did you get a message requesting that you submit your passport? Take both the old and new passports to VFS application center. VFS will guide you on what to do.

I sent the data page of the old one and the new passport.
I sent those by courier, not in person.

Let me start by asking; when did you apply?

People are been congratulated because at least they got a response from a long time application made in 2020/2021/2022 consecutively, so receiving an update will activate one's spirit for hope again.

Furthermore, any person from backlogs (Visitor's Visa) who gets a BVL now almost means a PPR, (Lol), people just want an update and everyone wants something positive.

No it’s not your bvl. This is just to confirm they received your application and fees. I got this 7 days after application.

Thanks for the response, i got the letter on the day of my biometrics, just 30 minutes after leaving vsf office. Hope its a way forward ?

I must confess, even a BVL is still no guarantee of anything.. but all we can do is to be prayerful and hope all will end in praises.

I recently submitted my biometrics too and i got the same letter. So now do we wait at least 3 months before we start raising webforms ?

If you’ve a spouse in Canada, you can change to open work permit. If you don’t have a spouse but can secure a job with LMIA, you can change it to close work permit (the policy was just extended by 2 years).

If you applied for work or study, send ircc the slip you received via Webform. Some get updated same day while some can weeks or until PPR is released. For visit visa you don’t need medical, so I don’t think it will be updated on the portal.

Please we would appreciate any information on passport drop off for visa stamping. We sent one of our mentee to drop off her passport at the VFS office in Abuja, she was told at VFS office to schedule appointment online. The earliest date she got was June 1. She is supposed to drop off the passport within 30 days (June 1 is outside the 30days). Can she use courier to send the passport? If so, which courier service. Any information will be appreciated.

Yes she can use UPS.
