I need your help here. My daughter is directly bearing my first name and not my sur name but my wife is bearing bearing my own sur name. Is there anything wrong in that? Would it afrect their chances of getting visa?

When I was trying to book my flight last year, I did my research on Egypt Air from reviews on Nairaland but the reviews were not pleasant. However, I cannot say if they are better now but be rest assured that a lot of people fly Egypt Air daily.

My recommendation: If you cannot afford Direct flights (BA and VA), I would greatly recommend Turkish Airways and Qatar Airways. Your UK visa is enough requirements to fly. If you can get a Schengen Transit visa, go for Lufthansa, KLM or Air France. If you cannot afford any of these, try Air Maroc, RwandAir or Ethiopian Airlines. Consider Egypt Air as a last resort. #MyOpinion

You need to explain why your child has a different surname to you and your wife together with undeniable proof that she's your child. Without these, any VO will assume that you're trying to bring another person's child as your dependant

Egypt? From abuja I guess? Be ready for long layover at Cairo. They will lodge u guys at a hotel in cairo maybe Le passage or any other. You might be paired in the rooms or not. Shine ur eyes to collect evidence to prove they are holding ur passport. You might miss ur flight if ur not smart enough to identify people u flew with and walk with them. Its not worth it. Their inflight meal is something else lol. They will give u guys one Aba earphone like that and you will definitely throw it away when disembarking. Abeg find another airline jare.

Did you ever apply for one?
Have you been to the UK before?
Do you have any documents to prove your marriage? If yes, then he will request for the documents and wait patiently for you to get them lol. (Dis question will always come up if u are a guy and you look so young to be married)
What about your kids? Whom did you leave them with? (If you didn't come with them)

I have flown Egyptair more than 10 times and I like them, never had to endure their long layovers... but Layovers aren't always stressful though unless you're not allowed entry. I think most of these African airlines send the worst of their planes to Nigeria.

Most times, I just get on the flight, ask for beer, drink, and sleep or try to watch movies all through the trip so I don't experience anything... I make sure to book the window seat before getting to the airport

Explain that the national population council birth certificate need came up when the travel abroad need came up thats why it was done not too long ago. That u have been using the certificate issued by the hospital or local goverment ..(make sure u have a backdated certificate from the Hospital they were birthed or the local goverment.....Na naija u dey...)

The rest too is pretty straight foward... u should have hospital birth records... if u dont have or its lost...go to the hospital and tell the admin......they will give it to you as long as u birthed ur children there......

Same thing for school records....


For Evidence of care and suitable accommodation.... abeg make pple with children come explain ooo..........

..but u can explain that u have made contact with suitable care agency for ur kids especially if they are toddlers.....and add proof like email screen shot

....if ur kids are 5 years already, that means they will be going to school..so... have records u have contacted suitable school they will possibly attend

Same for accomodation...as a married person with one or two kids...u will need at least a two bedroom flat....make contact with an real estate coy and show evidence u have made the necessary contact for a 2 bed apartment.

Thats great..if the employer is sponsoring... u can mention that the employer has supported with the right accomodation for your family ..

.. it doesnt matter where u will be staying...its just evidence u have done something....it could just be schools around the post code of ur employer's office

as long as u can provide evidence that you are truly the parent.. I believe the birth certificate will show your name? Plus other proofs of pregnancy records, health records etc proving you are the dad and a cover letter to explain anything you need them to know

As for someone who is giving out his child, will it be for adoption or as guardian?

For those that have stayed long in overseas, they do not even believe that something like denial of visa can happen; for them it is like going to the Village and hand picks anyone and take them to township.

If something of such (i mean giving out one's child)will happen, there must be a photo of the child's parents with the said guardian and the child in question.
Lots of evidence and written note on why you are giving up your child for another to train em? If you are incapacitated.

Lots of factors and paper work will be involved to make it work. It is not impossible, but they all must be intentional in whatever they're doing.
