Some northerners have boasted about the large number of wives, children and grandchildren in their families.

They disclosed this on Sunday, April 30, 2023, after a former Commissioner of Works in Kano State, Muaz Magaji, shared a photo of members of one family from the north.

“Masha Allah.. All looking good and well taken cared of Alhamdulillah...no street beggar here. This is one family in Muslim North...let the census begin...and when ever you start thinking of the figures accuracy, remember this...one family is equivalent to your entire street,” Magaji wrote.

A journalist, Adamu Yunusa, said his father has 33 children and 120 children.

“He is still alive and a bit healthy,” he added.

To them it is achievement, in other countries people are busy working towards their success and the success of the country, here they just continue adding to the country problem. If not the quota system being practice in this country, people like this will suffer more. Majority of the federal jobs in this country is co-ordinated by northerners. Before you will get federal jobs, you must know one or two northerners.

I had uncle that had more than forty children (you might not know the real number of children of rich man). They have children here and there.

Some other uncles with more than twenty children.

This too much, that family is complete one though because whatever traits u have in the larger society u will find it there, from good to bad den ugly.

E still dey sweet them because we are still "one Nigeria" and they are highly subsidized by Federal allocation, make Nigeria break up.....na then dem go no say uncontrolled preproduction that does not match human capital development and productivity is a huge burden....make dem dey born dey go, while the FG keep deceiving Nigerians that they educationally disadvantaged so that quota system continues to thrive and 65% of the poor (86 million people) live in the North, while 35% (nearly 47 million) live in the South.

Na this same people dey steal all the manhole for gutters here in Abuja...because they are so much that their parents can't take care of them.

One of the reasons why they birth several children: To place them in key strategic position & also handover to the children's children.

Hence, the dynasty never ends & power won't be handed over to outsiders.

Yet some will hide behind their keypads to argue that the population are inflated. They'll even tell you how both Northern Nigeria & Southern Nigeria are equal in population, land mass etc.

The combo of Niger State & Kogi State will cancel out some certain States in certain parts of Nigeria

Talk more of moving upwards to North-Eastern & the North-Western States.

Yes, these are reproducing more but can you explain how a certain state in a certain part of Nigeria in a certain year's JAMB admission had more of her indigenes getting admitted to study medicine in Nigerian Universities than the combined total number of students from the 7 North western states?

Southern politicians offer themselves to be tools of division in their respective regions, while Northern politicians unite to seize & recycle power. 👌

There is nothing to celebrate her. This is uncontrolled population explosion and will have dire consequences in the future considering the corrupt and ineffective government we have.

Only few of these northerners are able to sufficiently cater for a large family. The majority of the large families are unable to provide the basic needs of the children especially good food and education and the consequences of being deficient in good food and education during childhood affects the child all through his/her life.

Northern population is a ticking time bomb and I'm afraid the effect will be felt all across the country if nothing is done about it soonest.

My maternal grandfather has close to 20 children and over 50 grandchildren, this was years ago when I did mental calculation of my cousins, I can't remember how many great grand children, but it's somewhere around 80-100.

He was a big and successful Hunter,explorer in his days, plenty wives and children were seen then as huge achievements in ancient kogi, especially the ebira people

He died 10 years ago, my grandma still alive,
