Good day house,

Seeing someone presented 243 pages for POF just makes me feel like I’m not serious at all…..my 6 months Bank statement no fit reach 6 pages sef….wahala. Abi is POF not proof of funds? What will I do like this? I’m already overwhelmed as it is…

Another challenge I have is. My opening balance on Feb first is about 8m. Then on 1st Feb. I moved about 2m from my money market fund and my other savings account to my salary account where the 8m was. cos I wanted all the money to be in one place.(I can explain that by printing my money market fund account and my other savings account statement) but since then. Apart from small small money going into the account. 100k here, 70k there. Most bulk money entering my account is one time I loaned a friend 1m. He paid back after say 2 weeks. I loaned someone else 600k. She paid back after say a month. How do I explain those? Do I just show where I gave the money and then where they returned it in the bank statement or what do I do? And do I need to explain 70k, 100k deposits?

I don already dey fear and I never apply. Cos it just feels like I don’t have enough to show…I tire

Please guru’s help me with advice abeg.

You cannot study or work with a visitor visa. If you want to take a program longer than six months, you must apply for a study permit. Now, having JUST a visitor visa does not make you eligible to apply from inside Canada. To be eligible to apply from inside Canada, you must meet specific criteria; one such requirement is completing a course or program that is a prerequisite to securing a school admission to a DLI. In this case, you must use IMM 5709 instead of IMM 1294 (assuming you are using the gckey to apply).
Gentlesoul3268:
Hello house, I asked a question about the visitor visa I applied since 2021 I got BVL on the 29 April, today I track my application I saw visa number and when the visa would be expired. But I'm about to start my study permit this week. Can I use visitor visa to study?

Someone had a UBA dollar account and couldn't use it of recent, and they couldn't do anything about it.

Advice for free: wink

Your fare is too expensive. If you're traveling next month, there are cheaper Lufthansa flights around 1000 dollars USD.
Go to their website (or download their app for better and faster service). Look out for dates as from 8th of May, then book the cheapest with ONLY ONE transit in Frankfurt, so you wouldn't need the huddles of a transit visa if it's more than one. When you fill in all info and get to payment, just call Lufthansa on 01 461 2222 and explain that you are unable to make reservation, then tell them the date you chose and the amount, and ask to make payment in their account IN DOLLARS (they don't accept Naira, you'll need to go to your bank and withdraw the dollar you need for payment). If your bank gives you wahala of no dollar, please ignore them and go buy dollar at black market, if you have enough Naira.

So, Lufthansa should request some ID info from you to complete your reservation and send to your email. Your BOOKING REFERENCE NUMBER will be there and that's what you'll use in the bank. Their DOM ACCOUNT is in Access Bank, make sure you have a pen and a paper to write down the account number they'll give you as well as the email to send proof of payment from the bank. After payment and sending proof of payment, they'll acknowledge receipt and your Air ticket will be sent to you via email the same day or two days maximum. And that's it!

Booking from Abuja proves to be cheaper than Lagos (try that).

This seems to be the best option for those without DOM ACCOUNT or with Dollar Card issues.

Follow this advice and thank me later! smiley

Blessings!

To avoid the issue of digression and establish relevance to your present occupation, go for a program related to your current employment. For example, if you are self-employed, business programs like Supply Chain, logistics, Management etc., fit perfectly.
You can reach out if you need free assistance with school admission…just school admission

Got PPR on the 19th after two refusals.

First application: Nov. 5, 2022; POF document (38 Pages)
Presented funds for only first year tuition / living expenses, explained I make enough to have the funds for the second year before school resumes in September. Came back refused Jan. 31st (Two reasons: Insufficient finance and assets / full tuition unpaid).

I listed source of funds as my B2B business and crypto. I gave mostly written statements about my income and not much or rather not enough evidence to back up these statements, hence the refusal.

Ordered GCMS, VO had concerns with:

Lump sums - Starting balance was 900K, sold digital assets within a month and topped up to 10.9M, VO was concerned about this, especially when they did not understand the source.

Source of funds - No payslips, no tax income slip, not enough evidence of work, salaries etc.

Tuition Payment: - VO suggested to make full first year tuition.

Second application: March 15th, 2023: POF document (44 Pages)

Before first refusal came, I had spent 70% of POF in December on iPhones to be sold, instead of the funds to just be in the account. (How naive of me to think my first application was perfect and no refusal in sight). I had to reluctantly sell more of my digital currencies cry. I also paid full first year tuition as suggested by VO.

Presented funds for two years tuition / living expenses plus misc, provided detailed information about the digital currency and the trail of funds from blockchain to tradfi account. Did not provide much info regarding B2B offline business (Thought since majority of POF came from crypto, there wasn’t much use for info about my offline business). Application came back refused March 21st (One reason - Insufficient finance and assets). Ordered GCMS, it has not arrived till date.

Third application: April 4th, 2023; PPR April 19th. POF document (243 pages!) Mo fun won tan!

Was expecting to receive GCMS for second application on April 25th. But I couldn’t wait because of time constraints. I made two deductions from the refusal, either IRCC does not accept funds from crypto as POF or my application needs to be substantiated with a legal business profile.

I did a lot of tinkering here, did extensive research on if taxes were mandatory to get an application approved and confirmed that it only helps to prove that the company exists and makes enough money legally. I asked a tax consultant for my estimated tax (Omo! Wahala Wahala Wahala).

So I looked for ways to prove that my company exists and makes enough money legally. I provided payment dashboard from all payment processors showing how much company has received in payments since inception. Showed partner onboarding, funding payments, supplier details etc. Provided Skype support group screenshots, history of transactions, one year bank statement confirming the inflow from all payment processors, and lastly (na this one hard pass), I became an accountant LOL. Researched how to create a profit and loss statement, income statement etc. Used records in my book-keeping to create an income statement, showing the monthly earnings. Added an affidavit of return, juggled my SOP (More formal and maintained consistency), added a church recommendation / ambassadorship certificate.

Bumped up my living expenses from $10KCAD to $15KCAD

To be honest, the third application was to test and to know on time if taxes were mandatory to get an application approved, I knew for sure if the application came back refused, I would need to settle taxes and re-apply. Halleluyah! It came back with PPR. Stamped passport is on its way back to me via courier! LOI has dropped too. Winnipeg ya!

I thank bobomaigida, bullstriker, johnstan, olokings (proper ginger man), thesoj, halima for their inputs! Goodluck to everyone applying, it will end in praise!

Yes, I've gotten my study permit.

I explained how my interest in the graduate certificate course had developed since childhood.
During my bachelor's degree, I took out time learning a bit about the program. Also, after my master's program, I took some online courses relating to the program (I had Udemy certificates to back up my claim).

Also, my current line of work aligns with my choice of course. So I noted how the post graduate certificate will help me get better at my job.

Number of pages no matter o. I created a post showing the contents of the document submitted. Check it. Just explain the flow of funds and you won't have issues. Show when you borrowed the funds, and show when they returned it. If you have chats with date to back this up, add it. It's a one-year course?

Someone with a masters can go for a lower level of education if the person can justify it. Is Big Data Analytics an area of specialization in Information Tech? Is the program not redundant, considering he has masters in Information Tech? To stand a chance, he must address such concerns in his SoP by discussing job requirements, identifying the gap in his education and, like a puzzle, showing the VO how the intended program fits perfectly

HeraT:
Good evening people .

Please kindly advice me on what to do.

My husband has his masters (information technology) done here in Nigeria but wants to go for graduate certificate (Big Data Analytics) in Canada for study route..........

Can someone who has maters already, go for graduate certificate programs?? Won't it look somehow? Hope the visa won't be questioned at these ppl
Please what's your views

Only the big ones.

How much is the highest amount wey dey enter your account steady, if it's in the range of 1M - 1.5M, you don't need to explain any inflows of 1M - 1.5M. If it's in the range of 100K - 500K, that enters the account regularly, then 1M+ will be a lump sum, so you explain dutifully.

Hiya,
1. To find out eligible PGWP schools pls follow this link:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/study-permits/post-graduation-work-permit-program/institutions.html

2. It depends on the school. Usually your Ist session fees will be written in your LOA and the deposit you're expected to pay will be stipulated in the LOA. You are given LOA immediately you're offered admission not after you've paid. LOA contains info about your admission, program duration and fees.

3. Yes, if you study for 1year in a DLI school, you're only going to get a year PGWP. 2 years course gives you 3 yrs PGWP.

4. Please, send an email to the school, they will be eager to respond to your enquiries.

5. Before you determine which school or province you want, you need to put in a lot of hard work in terms of research. Avoid getting info from people, google is your friend o. Research!!!

I hope these few answers of mine can help you a lil bit? I wish you goodluck!

Good Morning boss,
Please I need to ask some questions about this Niagara college, I don't know if u or any other guru in the house can be of help. I'm getting confused here.

1. Does Niagara college offer PGWP?

2. Is it a must u pay all the first semester tuition fee? If NO how much is their tuition deposit for you to get LOA?

3. I intend study IBM which is related to my degree because I studied entrepreneurship and business mgt but IBM is a year course and from what I've been reading so far, it's better one go for 2 years program in other to get 3yrs PGWP.

4. Does the college accept payment in installments for international students? .

5. I got an info dt New Brunswick Community College is cheap and one can easily get a PR, plus their tuition deposit is just 500 CAD, what's you guys take on this compare to all Niagara college?

Let me stop here for now, make I no ask too much question but I still have many questions.

How old is the applicant? Is he/she claiming to be working? If yes, just have some reasonable amount to show. Although since you have a sponsor it might not really matter. But if the applicant is advanced in age, just show responsibility. Hope this helps a bit?
