Mamacanada:
My dear all, good morning and trust you are doing well. Please help a sister, I am in a dilemma.
I received ITA with spouse as non accompanying but I want to change it to accompanying spouse before I submit the application.
My question is when my score is being recalculated will it be inclusive of his ECA and IELTS because then our score will still be above the minimum cut off for the round or will the score be recalculated without taking his education and English test into consideration.

Please kindly assist with your wealth of knowledge.
Thank you

Pls see page 1 FAQ 27. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/assessing-electronic-application-on-section-a11-2.html

My understanding of this link from there is that your scores WILL be recalculated but provided you give evidence backing the new score with spouse accompanying (i.e. his ECA report, degree certificates and IELTS report) and provided your recalculated scores are still above the CRS of your ITA draw then you'll be fine. You might want to add an LOE for your comfort but I'm not sure it's necessary.

Obviously, he would have done PCC, Meds and be included in your POF already.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate this

I hope you were able to solve this.

Also include screenshots of your examination invite which showed location of exam as Nigeria in the LOE and a link to the BCS IT page which showed this is a distance learning course.

Pls I want to ask this.. What’s the PR processing time for someone who gets an ITA thru Express entry?
And what’s the PR processing time for someone who got a provisional nomination & ITA?

Are they both same duration?

Update on the Preview Score not Met.

I want to believe the POF requirement have been updated on the IRCC server but proper communication has not been done.

There has been the annual review or increase in the POF.

preITA, I used 20400 as POF and after ITA I put the same 20400 but the requirement was showing not met. I tried to add it to 21000 and it was still showing NOT MET. I later used 21400(increment of $1000), lo and behold, it worked.

So I guess that's the issue.

Thanks dear. We changed POF and it worked. Province was Ontario.

Check if she chose Québec as one of the provinces she'll be settling in.

I really have no idea but it's surprising that increase in POF will lead to ineligibility. Can you increase it a bit more, just to see if it changes?

I agree with you. While applying to enter the pool, I kept getting an ineligibility response. It happened like thrice until I realised from a drop-down menu that 13350 was no longer sufficient for an individual. It has been increased to 13750 or thereabout. I increased the amount available for POF to 13800 and voilà, it worked.

They don’t have to communicate everything to you, the onus is on you the traveler to remain abreast with all the changes and policies. The POF as stated has always been just an estimate, in reality, your expenses will surpass those. No need to blame IRCC for everything.

POF update. PLEASE HELP

My Dilemma now is that I need to update the POF that I uploaded. I only uploaded the Gift deed in my Wife's account who is the PRINCIPAL APPLICANT.

Due to the additional $1000 that I added to my POF. I can only support with the POF with my own personal fund in my account.

I am thinking of two things to do right now.

1. Transfer about 500k into her account to augment the change and collect another statement of account.(if I do this, how should I arrange this)

2. Add my own bank statement to augment the change. In this case, how many months statement of account should I use? How should arrange it.

Please enlighten me on what to do..
Which option should I go for?

Use travelstart.com.ng, search for the same flight and pay in Naira

Lotusgoddess:

She's been trying with her USD Dom account Visa card but it's still no going through. Same card she used to pay for her fees. Would she need to have extra money in her account?

The payment options are: credit card, PayPal or voucher. Nothing for local payment like when I paid for mine.

My 6 months bank statement for POF is 72 pages. Scanning them is huge and can never fit into the 4mb file size, I have tried ALL possible shrinking methods.

Is it okay to reduce this to 4 months, since I'm using gift deed anyway?

Submit it as generated, no need to scan. All banks provide this service, or use my bank statement and stop worrying your compression…

Hello House, I need your advice on declining the Manitoba Provincial Nomination.

When applying for the EOI, I indicated I have a friend and my spouse's uncle in Manitoba.

I got LAA for MPNP as a Skilled Worker Overseas, only to discover the uncle lives in Ontario, though the friend lives in Manitoba.

With this update, my new score might be lower than the draw point, and I fear any misrepresentation issues.

Any advice, please?

there is no need for 6 months bank statement if you are using gift deed. What do you want to show the visa officer in the remaining 5 months- account maintenance , pos debits, and vat 😬
