Why d sudden worry?? A while back, you said your application was approved? Did you get a refusal letter all of a sudden?? Please make me understand..

A friend we applied together was actually refused on the 30th April 2023
Mine was approved but still waiting PPR though.

Hi,

Even if your Eligibility is Completed (Passed for that matter) you can still be "Refused" in the area of Info Sharing/Security Checks and more.

If you paid close attention, You will notice that most people denied from backlogs are those who lied about their previous refusals.

It was noted from the January 2022 memo that eligibility will be relaxed in the area of Funds and other rigorous criteria, so i think they fulfilled that memo.

I can see refusal flying up and down since the 2nd of May.

I just checked the tracker and saw my Visa number and Visa expiring date....
I have only received BVL and does it mean I have VISA already and my application can't be declined?

That means a decision has been made and your visa has been issued but not yet printed so you should be expecting "Original Passport Request" soon. Immigration authorities have the power to withdraw an approval and refuse the application but such cases is very very rare.

It doesn’t matter. What’s important is seeing visa documents updated, with that’s you’re sure PPR is near.

Please o I was just refused on the ground that I didn't say truthfully on the history of my previous visa refusal to Canada or any other country.
I sent webform with some explanations. Just this morning, I received a mail that my application status has been updated and that there has been changes in my application status. I logged in but did not see any changes. Please what does that mean?

I have not applied for Canada visa before let alone being refused and I have not applied for visa of any other country apart from US which was indicated

It’s either the VO made mistake which is rare in cases like this or the person that filled your application made that error. Sorry about this, just submit another application, it will end in praise.

I will advice you reapply and wait. You know this journey, nobody expect from ircc can tell you the wait period.
