A few days ago, the Holy Spirit told me that one of the biggest problems we have as believers is the need to feel and handle things. You have this innate desire by reason of being human to want to perceive and manage things.

So when things do not make sense to you, when they're not tangible, when you can't quantify a problem, when you can't touch the solution, when something is not concrete, when it's not sure, and when you can't hold onto it, that's where your Christianity starts malfunctioning.

That's when you start worrying, that's when you start complaining because things to you must always have a shape.

The Holy Spirit calls these kinds of believers, "concrete Christians."

The Bible says, "the wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit" [ John 3 : 8.]

The characteristics of the wind are used to connote how walking with the Holy Spirit is like; here today and there tomorrow. Its unpredictable.

If you're a concrete Christian, you cannot be like the wind.

You're sizeable. If you're dropped in water, you will make a sound, and you'll sink to the bottom.

"Everything has to make sense to you."

"Everything has to be felt."

"You need to know the exact dates for things."

"You need to know when a problem will stop."

"You need to know everything about your future. "

A wise man once said, "sometimes in Christendom, if not all the time, you have to be foolish in your head and follow the wisdom in your heart."

I can assure you that you will not know everything when you follow God. Not everything will make sense to you.

But one thing is certain, if you can be foolish in your head and trust the truth in your heart, you will get to the promised land.

So sometimes, the Holy Spirit in your heart may decide not to send needed information to your head. At that time, you're supposed to follow the peace in your heart and trust that He knows what He's doing.

Are you going through a difficult time, and it looks like the Holy Spirit isn't saying anything?

Are you seeking crucial answers, but it looks like heaven is shut?

Trust the peace in your heart.

It's there to show that God is "aware."

It's there to enable you believe that God is working things out for your good.

His plans for you are not of evil but good, to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

When God is quiet, know He's working out something, and that thing is most definitely for your good.

So get up.

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, He will come with vengeance; with divine retribution, He will come to save you" (Isaiah 35:3-4).

So what should I do now, you ask?

Focus on His last instruction.

Focus on the things you can control.

Do them wholeheartedly.

And soon, just like the Bible said, when He'll eventually speak, "He will surely speak peace to His people and His saints" (Psalms 85:8b).

1. Holy Spirit told you this? undecided

2. But the Spirit that Jesus Christ described in that verse which you use there out of context isn't the Holy Spirit but the first Helper every one who is truly born-again ought to be acquainted with. So, I guess my question is how come you don't have and know the first helper yet you claim you commune instead with the second Helper, the Holy Spirit? undecided

1. What proof do you have that you are born-again? And yes, Jesus Christ said everyone must be born again -- born of water and born of spirit -- so it isn't optional? undecided

What was the cross that was given to you when you accepted Jesus Christ supposedly as you became born-again? undecided
