Your friend should send a scanned copy of the new passport to IRCC through webform. He or she can do it twice. After that 2 days he can send his the new passport to Vfs Lagos (where ever he or she did biometric) through UPS (DHL no longer accept a two way courier). He or she can pay for two way courier.


Passport Submission Information.

Write your FULL NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NO. & Email Address on the Envelope boldly

You may indicate you want a two-way courier service when you go to DHL. Then provide them with the address you want your passport sent to when ready.

Sincerely, i just feel this is a measure to forcefully make you a home tie for your wife whilst only your wife travel to Canada, it doesn't really mean you didn't meet the requirement(s) IRCC is confused lately.

To me i feel they have issued a lot of visas from Backlogs hence trying to randomly issue visas now, you can see a post from a young lady who applied with her parents with over 20 countries visited, but was refused on same note.

This is anomalies and inconsistencies in analyzing Visa applications.

Well it’s true they’re trying to clear backlogs, we need to understand VO are also human like us. If we can make mistakes, they’re not exempted. I don’t agree it’s intentional and a way to reduce application approval.

Many times on study applications, VO miss important document and refuse base on that. Applicant apply for reconsideration and gets approval within a short period. I know it’s a very painful and frustrating situation after waiting for years only for VO to make a ridiculous decision, but we need to understand they’re human.

To all those affected, send mails and Webform, pray and hope the decision is overturn. God help us.

Canada immigration doesn't have a timeline. All you need to do is continue waiting until you get a passport request later.

I have tried different browsers both night and day since yesterday and I have not been able to log in. Please any advice on what i should do I'm really worried....

At times the site behaves like that especially when you get to that section where you are expected to click continue. However, there are certain pages in the process where you are not expected to click before it moves to the next. The bottomline, before clicking continue or any other link on the screen after filling your details, wait for like 10-15 seconds to see if it moves to the next page on its own.

If you’ve received your BVL, use the tracker to confirm if your visa document have bn updated.

The old portal is always having this using. Try another device.

Go back to the IRCC home page and navigate to the portal from there again. It worked for me.

Next time you you say " I was previously denied because I wasn't able to prove a strong tie to my home country "

You see that rejection paper they usually give at the US embassy just copy and paste it for them. That's how I did for mine. I copied and paste everything on that paper.

I was rejected US visa 2017, 2018 and 2019

And you know US embassy don't usually give reasons for rejection just that blue paper they usually give you. Finish, if ask them why they won't tell you the reason for rejection.

Just try and see if you can appeal, you never know 🤷

Send them a friendly reminder concerning your application through webform. You can also send them email. Send the email to Nairobi office if you applied from Nigeria.

There is no set schedule, method, or sequence that Canada Immigration follows when processing applications. While some applicants who applied this year have already heard back, some applicants who applied in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 are still waiting.

In 2022, a family of four (the father, mother, and their two daughters) submitted their applications on the same day, but their daughters' passports had been visa-stamped as of April 2023. The principal applicant and his wife are still waiting for visa decision.
