Insigne could be annoying with his selfishness but he paid his dues with Napoli. Men many great players have played for the Neapolitans sha. Zola, Higuan, Cavani even coached by the great Ancelotti and still only won a league title this year crazy! Feel for Koulibaly too. Blueelf: |

TheSuperNerd: Manu is still the bigger achiever here, you forgot he led the team to the under 20 AFCON trophy where he beat Senegal at their backyard in the final. His under 20 team also won the super six, where they played top 6 finishing sides in the Nigerian local league. Infact the local league teams Manu conquered with his boys were much stronger than now. I remember before then the likes of Kano Pillars and Shooting stars playing in the semifinals of CAF CL, I remember that was a league that had the likes of Gambo, Ali , Oboabona, Ejuke, Sunday Mba all these guys played in the national team between that period. I'm talking about 2013-2015. Although the under 20 team did not face this players but it tells u how healthy and robust the league system was at that point and to have lost to an Awoniyi led team in the absence of then Manchester city iheancho, and Isaac success was fantastic. When Manu won in 2013 what was the experience level of his assistant managers. I'm not trying to downplay anyone's team effort here. But I believe that by result Manu still has a better record. Amunike couldn't beat Sudan. I read people come here to defend him for that with all manner of conspiracy about the NFF administration sabotaging him. I mean like really, if that's the case all Nigerian local managers can use that as an excuse for failure. The truth is system change everyday. And performance are open to see for all to judge 5 Likes |

TheSuperNerd: These are not issues for justification, I mean there are real bigger problem than this excuses .Siasia's under 23 dream team were camped in the USA and had less than 24 hours to land in Brazil to play their Olympics opening game against Japan and they won. Not just that they ended up finishing with the bronze medal. So we can go on and on about our maladministration but to seek justification for failure for it is not what I will accept. You see it already before taking the job, you know how it is ,if you succeed we shall sing your praise, but if u fail we shall equally remember to recall how you made our heart hurt 🤕 so deal with it 2 Likes |

Which Ejuke do you refer to? Chidera Ejuke in the NPFL? Naaah. You got it mixed up. Also, Sunday MBA left the league after the Afcon Success in 2013 under Keshi. He was not in the league in 2015. Anyway, Manu's U20 Afcon success is noted but that team had the best of preparations and attention unlike what Amunike's U20 side endured prior to Sudan. I recall the Super six tournament they won in Abuja and the players available to Manu. I recall how meticulous and sound their preps were. That team had my attention because of how sound they were in dispatching solid NPFL sides and also being held by a Siasia-led U23 team to a 2-2 draw. They also had my attention because of a lot of the lads were from the U17 2013 side (Qualifiers to WC). At the U20 Afcon in 2015, Manu had Obinna Nwobodo of Rangers and Taiwo Awoniyi, Bernard Bulbwa, Ifeanyi Matthew, Zaharadeen Bello, Chidera Eze, Akinjide Idowu, Ibrahim Abubakar Abdullahi, etc (all talents who also came from the 2013 U17 side - some didn't make the 2013 WC side but were parts of the team from the beginning). A solid prepared side. But don't forget that this same Manu Garba went to the U20 World cup that same year in 2015 and literally sabotaged his own team. He kept Iheanacho, Success, Musa Yahaya and more on the bench after that first Brazil game. We went on to crash out lamely in the round of 16 to an Akpoguma-led Germany despite the wealth of attacking and creative talent we had on the bloody bench. I will never forget that 2015 WC debacle. Manu Garba made very silly decisions that cost us a possible good run with one of the best assembled U20 sides we have had in recent years. I recall I joined Nairaland that same year so I will never ever forget Manu's Sins. Since then, he had been rubbish to be Frank. Reason why in 2019, he flopped again at the World stage with another Nigerian youth side, the U17s this time of Amoo, Tijani, Said and co after navigating the qualifiers. And you are talking down on the assistant managers' contributions in 2013. Amunike in 2013 was already a rising youth coach who led an academy side to Title success at the Iber Tournament in Estoril, Portugal. Also, at the time he joined the U17 team to UAE, he was also rounding off a phase of his Uefa Pro licence course. This was before the U17 World Cup in 2013. He was already part of the crew but was also wrapping up his coaching qualification course. Nduka Ugbade, in 2013, also was a noted youth coach and scout with eyes for talents based in Nigeria and was said to have had a big hand in discovering and identifying Wilfred Ndidi for the U17 National team. So you see, the crew in 2013 was quite a talented and potentially good one plus the fact that Manu Garba himself had been assistant to the Late Yemi Tella who led us to U17 WC Glory in 2007 albeit in the Non-MRI era. And yes, Amunike couldn't beat Sudan but like I already emphasised. He didn't get close to the best of attention and preparations that the Manu Garba-led U20 side in 2015 enjoyed. This is what sabotaged that one game for the Amunike-led U20s in 2017. A huge dent it was as I was certain that team would win us another U20 Afcon. And it is not as if all coaches didn't have to work with NFF Incompetence at several points and still thrive. Even Amunike worked with some of it as U17 and U20 coach. He still won the U17 WC and finished 4th at the U17 Afcon while grooming Osimhen as top scorer in both tournaments. Even Keshi worked with NFF brouhaha and still navigated the Super Eagles to Afcon glory in 2013. The point here is... the incompetence and sabotage finally got us to really mess up this one game vs Sudan under Amunike. All through his reign as U20 coach, he never lost a game be it in friendlies or competitive fixtures. He won games home and away. But when it came to that one game in Lagos, the NFF incompetence struck to such high level that it came crashing down on the team's efforts to wrap up a ticket. Remember this same Amunike led the team to an away win in Sudan. So that tells how much negative psychological impact the NFF mistakes had on Amunike's U20 prep for the important 2nd leg. The NFF failed the team and the team crashed. Finito. M7even: 3 Likes 3 Shares |

There are more than enough issues for justification. You obviously haven't been in a situation where someone deliberately sabotages your efforts and despite your very best to thrive on, the damage just still took enough root and you couldn't do a thing to win. Siasia's U23 team had the luxury of playing 3 games to right any wrongs from the first game. Amunike's U20 team didn't have 3 games. He had only one game to confirm a ticket and it was blown thanks to the NFF's gross incompetence. And you say deal with it..... same way we also have to deal with the memories of Manu Garba's mishandling of the finest assemblage of U20 talents we have had since 2005 at the 2015 U20 WC. And he did that nonsense despite having the NFF support unlike what Amunike got at U20 level for the Sudan game especially. So bros... don't downplay the adverse effects of the NFF administration virus for it has caused us many chances of bigger progress in our football. Look at the U23 under Salisu in recent times and see how the NFF allowed such rubbish. They supported a man who settled for mediocritic approaches yet sabotaged a man who was out for the best for our pleasure at U20. The Incompetence Virus of the NFF stings. M7even: 3 Likes 3 Shares |

Nope. Lille sat in 4th place in the 2019/20 season when the league was stopped with 10 games to play. He was never gonna win the Ligue 1 in 19/20. PSG were outright leaders that season. jihday: 2 Likes |
