Kenya is ahead because those not connected to mains - are almost all using solar power.

Kenyans have bought 7.5m household solar system - I think it's even beat India.

Access to electricity in Ghana is now 88%. I'm sure it is 92% now

Only 4,119,930 million people in Ghana don't have electricity. This is equivalent to 1,144,425 million households.

I see why the Kenyans strive for a Kenya like Ghana 🤣

No wonder Kenya look so dark, they conjure solar in the night. I learnt the touch light business is booming in Kenya since half of Kenya (30 million) go to bed without electricity.

Fact - those connected to main electricity - approaching 10M - metered connections. Ghana metered customers not even 4m.
Kenya lead the world in small solar home system.
I doubt there are kenyans still using lamps like the 1m household in Ghana - or 4-5m Ghanians.

Ghana has 10 million houses and only one million of them is not connected to electricity.
Add houses with multi units and Ghana has 13 million metered units.

Kenyans who can't afford to build proper houses such that 45% of properties in Kenya are mud, zinc houses will never afford solar.

Maybe you're referring to solar touch light which is not a source of electricity but lighting 😂🤣

Next time you want to compare your shithole to Ghana, think critically,. We are not Mates

We went to IMF in 2020 during COVID - with many countries. We are in last review. So which IMF are you talking about. We dont need IMF when we have common sense and Ruto as president.

Ruto will do what IMF could have done - we have debt distress problem - and will fix it in max 2yrs.

We are not going to print our way like a goat Buhari your president. Or wait for IMF to tell us common sense - live within your means. That will leave for Ghana and Zambia.

Ruto is doing nothing of his own volition. He's a donkey under the thumb of the imf. He will likely reduce salaries of Kenyan workers in line with imf bitter pill for Kenya. Unpaid salaries is part of the problem. They're already testing the waters. Kenyans should brace up for more pain. Anything you see Ruto do now is prescribed by the imf.

Why are you shifting goal posts? Where did you get 45% from? Where is Ghanian data for mad house so that we can contrast and make an objective submission? Where did you get data for zinc houses, and what does it correlate with? Do you have data for your own or your government is broke that it can't fund intensive census? do you think you're doing justice for yourself or the Vice_V?

No one is shifting goal post...

I got the 45% from your country census data..
I know you don't like to read, data on zinc properties are available in your country's census data.

As anti-Ruto from the way go, bruh. I disagree. I'm being honest when I say Ruto is currently the smartest president in Africa. Dude is a visionary leader. Kenyans will pay for past leadership actions. We're together in this. We will revive our country from economic quagmire. It takes Kenyans to do that. IMF has no capacity to advise Kenya on anything; perhaps Ghana on its sinking economy could be a better bid. Or Nigeria with no visionary leader.

You don't need a link

You only need a screenshot

Yes it captured state of houses and it's available in the screenshot as well.

Sense you're interested, it's available online

Metal and wooden houses alone in Ghana accounts for 21% of total households.

Mudhouses ---? Lemme keep watching this data release. I will be back with an answer within a few.

Most solar is used for lights and charging phone

It's not an actual solar with battery installation, that's way too expensive they can't afford it

wrong

This is a list of the various kinds of housing units including metal and wooden...

We are not in the same misery company with Kenya...
As you can see, there are less than 600,000 (less than 6%) metal, kiosk and wooden structures

Boy. Watch the video. That's is your government saying that. Not me.
You're just a random hobbit who bases your facts on Google. I'm giving you first-hand information. I don't need to see blogs and conjured data. Watch the video from 31 there about. You're too lucky they have categorized your mad houses under a conventional structure which accounts for 78% - with the predominant one being madhouses. Meaning, Ghana has pretty much 55%-65% of both mud, wooden, and metal houses.

I used household. South Africa has around 18-19m. Kenya 12-13m. Ghana 8-9M households. Electricity is connected to households, facilities, businesses and such.

South Africa has 17M connected to main electricity - Kenya is 9m - Ghana is about 4m - those are customers of electricity customers.

Solar home systems include lights, fridges, tvs, radios and of course solar water heating.

For the poor of course it mostly lighting, radio, phone charging and small tv.

It was even projected on the screen. Buffoon. I won't argue over facts. The fact that your own people are so incompetent even on matters of Official affairs _ it goes without saying that your republic is a zoo.

In Kenya such can't happen without being corrected on the spot. Especially when the head of state or high ranking government official is in attendance

Pretty much 5M of the total are in access to electricity.

Only 6.9m are connected to main electricity out of 8.3 million. At least a million household or 4m plus Ghanians are still on kerosene lamps - worry about those.

Kenya is a success story in electricity. Maybe you want to face Nigeria.

Kenya likely to achieve universal electricity coverage in 2-3yrs.

We are adding 1M plus annually - right now we should be at 10m - so next year we hit 11-12 - the year after we got to 13m.

Few who will remain will have clean solar systems.
