Just order n hope they deliver on time. I ordered from a paid website since Jan 2, I’ve not received till now. I used the ATIP free service and got response within a month. I tried using the atip again, close to 2 months no response.

I was not requested to pay for my CBSA notes and I got my notes in 25days, but I think the window is till 30days.

If you received just one mail, it’s bvl not ppr. You’ll receive another mail for ppr. But before then you’ve to sort this login issue o. I know people face difficulties with gckey but it’s not this serious. I don’t know if it’s possible to link gckey to new portal or create another gckey account and link your previous one. You can make your research on that.

Yea, it’s possible to link GCkey to the new portal provided you have the login details of the GCkey. I’ve done it for someone and she used the new portal to submit study permit application after I linked it.

The person that process your passport claim a misplacement. Which he will make affidavit, police report and a copy of your data page.Everything will be done like a new passport and without the old passport 10months expiring date. Normally is less than 6 months before renew.

The way some people talk with authority of what they know nothing about or have experienced baffles me!
Nobody claimed any misplacement or did any affidavit for any lost passport on my behalf.
I paid for my passport renewal in December 2022 and my passport was to expire in October 2023. Paid extra #20,000 which is official (on top of the original unofficial amount for renewal). My previous passport of October validity was 5 years and I was renewing for 10 years. I went for capturing in January 2023 with my old passport and in March, I went to pick up my new passport with my old one where they now stamped it “cancelled” before activating the new one.
Please, let’s endeavor to share info we are sure of or have experienced before in order not to unintentionally mislead or spread false information. Authentic information can help someone in the same situation.
Btw, this experience happened in Port Harcourt.

You can use the paid service, ntn like fast track. I’ve sent loads of complain, all I get is I should wait.

i renewed my passport 10 month before expiry ,i just showed them my residence permit that my residence permit will expire in 3 month time and i must have the duration of my new residence available on my passport and that was all, it is possible to renew even 1 year sef,i did it at oshogbo and i got my passport fast track sef

For a visiting visa, Yes, to be on safe side.

The risk of not booking a return ticket should in case there is any interrogation that makes the officer request for the ticket, it will become an issue and difficult to defend that she intends returning back.

I don’t think it’s mandatory but to be on the safe side. I’m chatting with someone, his wife is traveling on Thursday, he booked one way ticket 1.4m, so i understand why he didn’t book return. I’m waiting on her experience to make my decision. I don’t think I want to book return, na to look for good excuse incase of interrogation. I will also drop her POE experience once she lands on Friday.

N.B: Those going for tourism should just book return tickets. I don’t think there’s excuse in this category.

It means there’s issue with application fee payment. It’s was either paid with fraudulent card or there was a charge back. Did you pay it yourself or used agent?

Try to pay the money, write a good letter of explanation and send it via Webform, anything can happen or just submit another application.

Please, this is not true. You can renew a passport of 8-10 months validity (i.e. if your passport has about 10 months before it expires, you can renew). I’m a living witness.

Ordinarily, Nigerian immigration won't renew a passport with more than six months left on its current expiration date.

A stolen or lost passport is the only exception to this rule.

My junior brother was asked to wait until his passport has less than 6 months to expire. This happened in Lagos.

Yes, for a visit visa, because most of the time they will ask you the question, "When are you leaving the country?" or ask for your return ticket.
