I'm in the same shoe with you I received BVL on the 29th of April, I can access the tracker for further updates. I entered all the required infor but not moving to next stage since then

Samplay1:

I can't access it, have tried several times, no error message when I put the right info, it just won't move to the next stage
But when I purposely put the wrong info, it shows that the info entered is wrong
But wen it's the right one, it just stays on the same page when I click on next

Dear Emma,

I disagree that anyone should a flight ticket while they are still expecting PPR or when the counterfoil hasn't been put on the passport yet and returned to them. Yes, the Canadian journey is faith-based, but I would advise that people take it one step at a time.

If you have gotten BVL and probably have a visa document number on your tracker, keep sending reminders until your PPR lands, then plan to send your passport and let it return to you before booking a flight.

Blessings!

Yes, you’re right.

For those that have collected their visitors visa from VFS....... please I beg you

1. Book a return ticket

2. Travel light (one or two luggages) for two weeks or a month

3. Make a hotel/Airbnb reservations

4. Don't carry winter outfits (because summer
is approaching)

5. Carry at least a thousand dollars with you in
Cash

6. Don't carry certificate or resumΓ© with you

7. If you have anything that will implicate you
on your phone delete it or a chat with a
Canadian boyfriend or girlfriend delete it

8. If that thing is so important and you don't want to loose, I suggest you save it on the cloud and delete it from your device or better still format your device

9. The CBSA officer have every right to go through your device and can still send you back home (yea....they have that right). That's why i strongly advice against flagpolling when converting your visitors visa to study or work permit at the border.

WHY
Because you didn't state truthfully at the airport when you arrived that you'll be looking for job or study and remain in Canada

So you'll have to prove THIS if you flagpole

SUGGESTION
Apply online instead from inside Canada using the new public policy (140 days processing time).

But if your blood dey hot and you can't wait for the processing time of 140 days, then go ahead and flagpole......it's your funeral.

Safe journey (ije oma) to the ones leaving this week or the next or whenever. I wish you all the best may the land of Canada favour youπŸ‘‹πŸ™

And for those that wants to convert from a visitor visa to a study permit (because the requirements are less compared to apply from your home country)

Then apply online from inside Canada
But first in other for to be eligible

You must do a short term prerequisite course that qualifies you for admission into that institution or else you won't qualify

πŸ‘†
This only applies to you if you don't have a spouse who is a permanent resident or on a work permit

But if you have a spouse who has a PR or work permit then you can convert without doing the short term prerequisite courses

OR
Or you already have a work permit in Canada then you can convert from a work permit (open or employer specific/closed ) to study permit without the short term prerequisite courses

And the proof of funds isn't that much when converting to a study permit as a visitor

But it's very important to make your own research tho

Nope, just declare it and you're fine

But don't carry chicken flavored food like
Knorr chicken, indomie chicken, Benny chicken stock.

Whatever you're carrying make sure it's dried
But don't forget to declare whatever food stuff
If you don't and the dog sniff it....they carry your hubby for secondary checking.

And he'll be fined for not declaring those food items

Must most people I know don't declare. They just try their luck and luckily the dog won't sniff it, but not everybody's luck is the same

If you have spouse on a PR, work permit then your good if not you must do a short term prerequisite course and pass. And the school has to state that you passed their prerequisite course and you're now qualified for admission

Or else your study permit from inside Canada will be refused

Okay, thank you so much.
I have travelled back twice to check on my family and I have always declared.

Nope as long as you have a return ticket you're good but since your spouse have PR you're very okay.... they'll understand you have a spouse so your load is kinda justified

There is no cause for alarm.

You are different from someone who is planning to use the hotel as his or her accommodation because you have a family member or friend on the ground who is going to accommodate you during your stay, so having more than one bag will not be an issue.

Let's not scare ppl. Anyone can carry 2 luggages if they wish. That is standard travel allowance and no one will question that.

Hello guys,
I would like to ask if it's mandatory to book a return ticket while booking for visit visa.
My mum's application just got approved and the rates are crazy at the moment.

Where are you going to? And what dates are you looking at? That will determine. Going from Abj is usually cheaper. Lufthansa, Air Canada, Ethiopian Airlines are the cheapest.

Guys with regards to the info I shared earlier

This info are for those that are traveling alone and have no one in Canada.

If you have family or relatives that can assist you with all these then disregard.

And all the info are on the IRCC website

Thank you πŸ™

Yes you're very correct
but whatever you're doing try not to make them think you wanna abscond

Because in their eyes you're a potential or future immigrants

That's why they always want you to prove a strong tie to your home country when applying for a visa πŸ˜‰
