Good morning fam. J am here to say a very big thank you to this page. All the response and knowledge share helped me a great deal. We had our capturing yesterday at Sagamu immigration We arrived from Lagos by 8am just before the gates were opened. We queued up. This is line for collection and another for capturing. Went in and wrote down our names and we were given number. Just know that the numbers are useless because they will not be used. After an hour we were addressed. People who had an insider had thier files already in the office and so they were attended to first even if thier number is 200. We did online so we started from scratch. We bought file 500 each, note we are à family of 4. I took them to the first office where they will arrange our file. They called my husband and requested for 6k administrative fee and he did not pay and his file was dumped somewhere. We were not attended to until 4-5 when we went in for document verification and we were done with capturing around 7. My two cent. Please make sure your documents are complete if you don't want Wahala. If you have money you can pay the administrative fee and your file will be taken in immediately. For me i will even recommend this than paying 45k to an agent. Please note nobody will follow up on your file because of 6k but be rest assured that your passport will be produced just like everyone who captured on same date If you don't have money my brother just buy coke and chill because you will be attended to but you go follow them close. Arrange your mind wella make you no feel am. If you have NIN issues i beg you go and verify your NIN. check your status on the immigration portal to know your status. You don't want to experience the pain of waiting until you get to the capturing stage only to find out your NIN is not validated, e go remain small make you cry Note after going to NIN to validate it. It might not reflect on your immigration portal. Don't be scared you will be able to capture . Sagamu passport collection date is usually less than a week. I beg you don't follow that date on your paper. Because you will go there and come back empty handed. Use your online application status to track when your passport will be ready or your can wait like 2 months before going back. Thank you all 5 Likes 2 Shares |

enemerci: Passport issuance at Sagamu office is not always delayed like other offices. You'll have your passport issued within 1 month. I got mine within a month last year December, while some that processed theirs there this year got theirs the following week that they captured and some two weeks after capturing. They do send text messages to inform applicants that their passport is ready for collection. 4 Likes |

[quote author=pepe1 post=122963420] Thank you all for the heads-up. I learnt a lot here before going for my capture. I captured on Friday 5th May 2023 DIY in Festac. Please if you are DIY kindly make sure that all your documents are ready. Those officer are not smiling at all. How my own went: I got there before 7:30am and was there before they started. An officer came to address us (DIY) but people that did through agent already had files, documented and already started capturing. DIY were asked to go to Servicom to verify our NIN. After NIN verification, We were asked to go and open file with our documents. For me I didn't go with my Guarantor's Int'l passport data page.. the officer asked me to go and get it or I look for another guarantor. I finally called my Guarantor and he sent the data page to me so I printed it out. After printing it out I went back again and met a different officer who started attending to me. She rejected my affidavit of age declaration and her reason was that my place of birth on it is Waterslide Hospital Onitsha but on my Application form I wrote just Onitsha as my place of birth so she asked me to go and swear another affidavit of age declaration. At that point I was already giving up cos there is no court in Festac and I think the closest is in Ikeja. I was tired, how can they reject my affidavit just because of the Hospital name on it. I started asking people on what to do and I discovered that I can sign Rotary affidavit there in immigration office, so I went to cyber cafe and they typed another affidavit for me. when I got back I went to where they are signing the affidavit.. the signing is 500 But when I got there to sign it the lady there told me she will not sign it for me because mine is DIY, she said she only sign for people that paid through an agent. Funny enough she is collecting the same 500 from people that paid through an agent not as if theirs is free. I felt like crying and left there, I didn't know what else to do. going to court is never an option. I summoned courage and went to one officer, I explained to him that my documents are complete but the only problem was that my affidavit of age declaration has Hospital name on it which is not on my application form. I also told the officer that I have printed another affidavit but the lady who is supposed to sign it refused to attend to me cos am DIY. The officer was like "is that all" I said yes. So the officer gave me a written note to go and give the lady signing affidavit. I went back to the lady and gave her the written note, so she collected my affidavit, singed on it, stamped on it and I paid my 500 and left. I went back to Servicom and opened file successfully, waited for my turn to go for capture. Luckily for me I am part of the last batch for that day.. The gate was locked after we entered the capture room. The officer said they have closed and will not attend to people again after us. I left there around 4:30pm. Las las it's not by coming early cos I was there before 7:30am They give priority to those that paid through an agent. It was really stressful but I thank God that my mission was accomplished. 2 Likes |

Your passport must be ready. I also captured on the 22nd of December at Festac Office. My little story... I went there a couple of weeks ago and was told it's not ready. I didn't argue with them at collection. Went straight to the PCO's office and waited till he arrived. He invited me in and asked me when I captured. I told him December. The man almost jumped out of his seat. He ordered them to immediately go and look for my file. Told me to give him two hours and come back and see him. Alas, they never even touched my file since I captured (online of course). It was just dumped somewhere. He ordered immediate production and within 3hours my passport was ready. Note: Festac Office PCO (PCO Oselowo) is an extremely professional and nice officer. Per excellence I must say. He will treat you like a VIP and his word is his bond. Anyone having issues at Festac Office should go see him directly. However you must be extremely patient and persistent. The junior officers at his office will try to frustrate you not to see him... They will chase and try to intimidate you. Just do as they say and still stay on their neck. Mill around the stairs to his office around 11am to 12pm ish.. that's when he usually comes around. Or maybe earlier. Once those officers start running about, then know he's about to enter his office. Once he's in his office, he'll invite anyone at his door to come in. He'll attend to you ASAP, just be patient. wemimo88: 3 Likes |

pepe1: Compared to other centers, I think it's DIY friendly. But as a DIY, since you're not paying extra money, you're going to pay with patience. When is your capturing date? I might have some tips that could be of help. I captured at Alausa. |

I have been to that office twice still same story.if you need it urgently is best you go with your Evidence to show why you need it to the PCO. Note .go on the collection date if not she won’t listen to you. 1 Like |
