Are they also known as the Hottentots?

No, hottentus is different

Social relations between the Khoikhoi and the San gave birth to Khoisan.

Hottentus is another name for Khoekhoe or Khoikhoi S. African alone

The relationship is now okay, but because of our history, they'll always be that bit of tension between both ethnic groups.

Even the Indian and Chinese South Africans were oppressed during those days of apartheid, because they were also regarded as blacks by the white South Africans.

We communicate in English or Afrikaans.. Some job opportunities require that you be fluent in Afrikaans... I did Afrikaans in primary school as a second additional language.

Some white South Africans are also fluent In our native languages like our late music artist Costa Titch... He was a white South African and in all his music, he'd sing in both English, Zulu, and Tswana.

Wow...so what's the percentage of white to black south africans?

I never knew the black SANs had to communicate with them in Afrikaans? I thought they should be the ones mainly speaking in african languages

Yep, they don't want to be colonized... Only few of them managed to come out into the world, but the rest always go back to where they come from.
Karnice600:

Those are true Africans. They probably don't want to align with the "colonial" ways of life, so they won't have a Colonial mentality. grin grin

Forget patriotism, South Africa get fine girls abeg.

See fine tall girl with tender skin.
No bleaching
No toothpick legs
No burnt knuckles like PH bolé
No protruded belly as a result of excess goat meat pepper soup and catfish pepper soup coupled with Smirnoff ice and hollandia yoghurt.

Nigerian girls are mostly short like fire hydrant. You hardly see a tall and pretty Nigerian girl.

God bless South African girls for me abeg. See as girl set and fresh like today's bread. kiss kiss kiss

In addition:

No yam legs.
No K legs.

Quite revealing
"Hakuna Matata " was a popular phrase we learnt from the movie "The Lion King ".

So there's no swahili tribe in SA?

What about the Boers and Afrikaaners? you did not write about them in your thread.

Re: Different South African Tribes by Nobody: 1:30pm On May 09, 2023
The whites are a minority... I'll say 4 out of 10.

Some whites can communicate with us using our native languages, I remember years back me and my friend were in an elevator when this white man got in.. He was dressed funny, so we started making fun of him in our native language thinking that he wouldn't understand.

When the elevator stopped and before he could go out, he talked to us in Sepedi and told us of how he heard every single thing we said, we were left humbled and speechless..🤣🤣🤣

It's the largest ethnic group in Africa, if I'm not mistaken.

All the black tribes from Central Africa, East Africa, to southern Africa fall within the Bantu ethnic group.

Who are the bantu people then?
