The problem is that these people are the most isolated people here in SA, most of them still shy away from modernization, they're like the Amazon people... Finding latest and decent pictures of them is close to impossible.
Which tribe is Nelson Mandela

I wanted to do that too, but nairaland was giving me a very tough time.

Since yesterday I've been trying to upload the pictures and give characteristics for each tribe, but nairaland didn't want to upload and I ended up getting tired.
Please keep trying abeg.

Did people really think that South Africa consisted of just one tribe? Is there any African country at all with just one tribe?

Swaziland or Eswatini has only one tribe.

Informative piece @Samantha124. Thank you.
@N3TRAL and Zonefree shame on you two. There are maladies and ills in every society but an outright ridicule on an entire Nation is foolishness at it peak. Your mothers at one time should have been exception to the rule of your warped perception of the entire Nigerian women? Look, this thread is to inform and educate ignoramuses like yourselves on the positives of South Africa, would you both then conclude there are no exception to the rule as in your juvenile and depraved generalisation all Nigerian girls are into hook up? If indeed that is the case by your dumb assertion then na hookup una mama take born una. I am a Nigerian Girl, raised by a Nigerian girl and i never do hookup for my life abd never will and i am raising beautiful and corrupt free Nigerian Children. Stop putting Nigeria in bad light everytime, all the time. Stand corrected and stay corrected and please no idiot should quote me with any foolishness.

Nope. Swazi's are the dominant ones, but they aren't the only ones.

Showing of breasts is not a big deal here... Our men are already used to it... I have female neighbours back at home who'd just walk outside with their bear chests and no one would say anything about it.. grin grin grin

That's the thing. Africans never used to sexualize the breast, colonisation taught them that.

The Europeans that called Africans savages for wearing very little are now fighting to free the nipple.

The whites are a minority... I'll say 4 out of 10.

Some whites can communicate with us using our native languages, I remember years back me and my friend were in an elevator when this white man got in.. He was dressed funny, so we started making fun of him in our native language thinking that he wouldn't understand.

When the elevator stopped and before he could go out, he talked to us in Sepedi and told us of how he heard every single thing we said, we were left humbled and speechless..🀣🀣🀣

Funny enough, I also keep saying this... We're also migrants from Central Africa and we took the land from the Khoisan.

The whites then came and took the land from us too.

A thief stole from another thief.. grin grin grin

So it's true that only Khoisan are the true indigenes of South Africa.
Then why are u threatening whites to leave when u all invaders.

Smiles... don't expect me to know everything the countries that I mentioned are part of West Central Africa including Congo.

I didn't claim to know it all.

The only thing that I know is that I know nothing, but consistently and progressively I'm trying to understand my society

Don't forget, we're talking within the scope of your country. I've not been there before.

Everything I'm telling you is what I read and I told that I'm still a student of wisdom and knowledge.

I'll be glad even if you can still help me to develop myself more.

Most of the time black South Africans just give general names.

Puleng could be Sepedi, Sotho, or Tswana.

Thembeka could be Zulu, Swati, Ndebele, or Xhosa.
daveP:

Pls which tribe do girls called Puleng come from?

Also Thembeka? Or are they general names? Gracias.

It’s not Central Africa.

Bantus migrated from the Eastern Nigerian and Western Cameroon axis - to other parts of Africa.

They were pushed out by the expansion and migration of the ethnic groups that occupy West Africa today.

Below is the Bantu expansion map
