It more the failure of Transnet just like Eskom. Prepare for more of this now - road cannot handle all that traffic without heavy investment. The rail was saving your roads. The road in Bloemspruit, Bloemfontein, South Africa AfriqueDuZuid:

rvp20182: You are obviously deluded and don't know what you are talking about, you will never gain much from exporting primary product. There will be no incentive to drive oil production, only giant foreign company and corrupt government entity that can bare the cost will be involved, and they will export the crude with no value added. There is basically no benefit to our crude being exported, because the FX earned from exportation is further spent in importing the processed and refined oil back into the country and then scarce dollar will still be spent on subsidy to the oil marketers. Nigeria is now going to have an entire value chain built around oil industry, this will be an inclusive growth, and that's exactly what we need. Nigeria greatest commodity will now be traded in Naira, if you want to buy it, you will need to go and source for naira, and even if we continue with fuel subsidy, it will also be paid for in Naira. 1 Like |

Shma2023:Ghana is really giving you Kenyans sleepless nights. No matter how hard ZOO Kenya tries, it will still not catch up with Ghana. Kenya is too backward and undeveloped to catch up. Kenyans even make it harder for that country to get out of the mess it has created. I wonder where you guys get drinking water from when only 16% of you guys are supplied. This is what Kenya has to catch up to on the real estate front.

rvp20182: Dumb fellow. The economic activity from refining 300k of crude in Nigeria > Exporting 300k of crude by shell. Government have no business in operating a refinery, Refinery operation is not a social project or infrastructure, it's best to leave it in private hand. Stop thinking like dumb communist. Nigeria government owns a 20% stake in the refinery, that's enough. |

rvp20182: You don't even know how OPEC quotas work, what an idiot. The Quotas deal with Production not export, will OPEC tell you who you should sell your crude too? What concerns OPEC if you sell your Production quotas to India or Dangote, what OPEC is concern about is to ensure price and supply stability in the global oil market |

rvp20182: Better roads are being constructed Transnet had been opening new routes every year since 2018 With a bullet train from Johannesburg to durban top of existing rail line. The moment you stop borrowing to pay salaries, you can come and will discuss roads and rail.... Kenya can't pay salaries but you here masquerading about roads and rail. Salaries first, kenya can't pay salaries. Let that sink in 1 Like |
