Degift what wrong with IRCC new portal? Is GCKEY account better to apply ? Or does it determine the outcome of the study permit

The new IRCC portal uses AI and in most cases gives premature automatic refusal even without human visa's officer input and has been responsible for prolonged delay in visa processing. Anyone who loves themselves will stick to the old GCKEy account which is faster for now.

You can use the old portal if you have more documents to upload as it allows for 4MB maximum upload per placeholder.

You can use the new portal if you don't have too many documents to upload, if you don't intend to apply with your spouse for SOWP, and if you don't want the stress of IMM forms. It allows for 2MB maximum upload per placeholder.

Pls what's the link to the new portal?

Good day guys. Please I need a guide on POF. My total tuition fee for one year program is 15000 CAD. Please how much is expected to be in my account as a minimum amount. I am married but I am travelling alone. I need to build my account statement properly for four months. My intended course is in line with my current profession (Office manager, going for office administration course) and first degree, Political science

Thanks for your prompt response.
Yeah, he applied through the IRCC new portal. His total tuition fee is 32000cad for 2years program , he has paid 8500cad.
Spouse applied for visiting Visa. Child is a year and 8 months old.

You still need to provide more details? What is the source of your funds; from personal savings, sponsor, loan or what, how much is total funding in CAD since your total required funds should be like 32,000CAD+ 34,000CAD + two-way transportation cost if the spouse will apply for SOWP. Why applying for visiting visa for the wife instead when the child will also be accompanying on you people on a visitor visa of more than 6 months, who will be taking care of the child while the visiting wife travels back (by implication) when the student should be allowed to focus on studies, do you have enough extra money to pay for the child care of like 50CAD/day in addition to the required living expenses of 3000CAD/year since the visiting wife not on SOWP can travel and leave the child behind with the study- busy student from time to time? Those are the factors.

Please clarify on the above first for a way out.

Please this is URGENT:
Please my friend who applied to Conestoga College May intake didn't receive application decision on time after 2 months of submission. She finally decided to defer till Fall intake. Unfortunately the PPR came a day after she had deferred. She has been trying to reach the school to tell them to cancel the deferral so that she can resume ASAP but the school hasn't replied her emails and when she tried calling it was entering voicemail.
Is there a contact phone number she can call? Her campus is Kitchener.

What acceptance letter did your friend submit if she didn't receive application decision on time?

I guessed you applied through IRCC new portal instead of via GCKEY account.

Well as to determine wether your funding is enough or not, you need to mention how much is the total tuition cost and if your spouse applied to study or work and how old is the child to be able to advise.

.
Sir/Madam,
Why do you use 'instead'? Does that mean GC Key is better?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by nnamdi346: 1:04pm On May 10, 2023
Oh my, there hasn't been any change on this dashboard for the past 8 weeks.

I wonder if it's because of the new portal I used. Maybe I should have just used GCKey instead. This is frustrating, guys.

Do you have any idea what might be causing the delay in processing my application? It's being handled by the London Visa Office, and I'm really tired of waiting.

June 2022 applicant. Longest wait of my life but i give God the glory.

Thanks so much everyone. Especially the guy who dropped Q_life email address for me, was really helpful, after calling them so many times for booking and they told me no date available, was able to book through mail. Cos medical date was super tight that period.
Hey, Congratulations. When you booked through their email, did you make payment on the day of the appointment or online, because I booked through email and was told I would make payment physically

Good morning
I'm really grateful for your response
Yes the refusal was since january and my application was done by an agent
so i didn't try to apply again immediately but right now I've got more documents and I'm willing to go at it again and i don't plan on making use of an agent anymore which is why I'm trying to know what i may need to do after the 1st refusal before i go again so that i don't get anything working against me again.

And please what is a GCMS note and where can i request for it
Also how does it help my application at this time
Bless your heart greatly for your response

Search on google on how to request for GCMS notes, when you want to request, apply for CBSA GCMS notes, that comes quicker, it will tell you the exact reasons for the refusal.

It seems like our submission timelines are similar. Did you have to closely follow up with them like I am planning to do?

Yes. I used GCKey because my school recommended it and even though it was so buggy, it worked well-ish for me.

GC Key is faster and safer with a higher chance of approval within currently just two, three or four weeks at most if applied from Nigeria.

Thank you…. I had to follow up with IOM Lagos cos they were annoyingly reluctant to transmit the result of my medicals after making me wait for almost a month to do the medicals….
I sent a mail to the embassy a day to my IME deadline asking for an extension and also explaining the delay. Then I went back to IOM on the day of the deadline, waited till they finally uploaded it…..

In the same shoes bro. Obviously from the answers given here, the delay is likely because we used the new portal.
Please how do you know the Visa Office handling your application?

Hello bro, I don't understand. It seems there is a delay in the new portal for those applying outside. I applied for Berlin visa application centre and exactly same you presented

Hi people of God, I need clarification, I applied for Mpower to find my tuition fee even though I've not applied to the school, I just saw Mpower went through their website and realized Trent University is part of the school they support, I've not submitted my application to Trent University because their tuition deposit is 2500 CAD (non refundable) thats kind of risky to me.. after registering with Mpower I got the attached mail? I want to ask

How has used Mpower financing here before?

1. Are they going to pay the full school fee ( tuition deposit inclusive)

2. Does this mail mean I'm actually qualified to be financed? Or there are still more processes to follow?

3. What IRCC's take on getting this kind of fund, will they honor it and will it increase ones chance of getting visa or not?

4. What do you advise? to go ahead and applied to the school or not it's just for me to pay the application fee but when I saw the non refundable tuition deposit of 2500 CAD I paused.

Thanks in advance
