If at all you're buying from Selina Li, don't allow her to handle your shipping else you'll pay twice and that's if you'll be lucky to see your cells.
Most of us that paid her for the shipping are yet to get refund.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ojesymsym: 2:01pm On May 10, 2023
Thanks for the info. I probably won't buy from her. I only need a shipper now, the one I use for other items says he does not ship batteries.
I'd appreciate suggestions of reliable shippers and their office location in Lagos.

I have 2 units of 170W mono panel with a unit of 12V 170Ah Renogy lithium ion battery.

I’m planning on getting luminous or techfine 12V inverter with solar talker Mppt controller to set up the system. I’ll like to know if these products are ideal for my setup and if not, can anyone suggest something better to make it efficient ? Thanks

Zeestone99 can handle the shipping for you. There is still someone else outside this forum but try him first.

Good evening House, why would same load consume different energy/power when using different brands of inverters?

I have a PSW inverter and a MSW inverter which I alternate. I discovered that the consumption of my battery using the PSW is more efficient. Initially, I thought it was the MSW inverter using up the excess energy but I was surprised when I measured the (output) energy usage while connecting the same load while using the modified sine wave inverter the energy used by the same LOAD (output) on the PSW. The energy used by the load while on the MSW is twice of the energy used when on the PSW.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 10:38pm On May 10, 2023
The output of a MSW inverter is square like in nature meaning it transmit noise together with it, making your appliances to burn more energy and converting the not so good part of the sine wave to heat and noise of Frequency which is noticeable with fans.

Strongly suggest that you first figure these out
1. Hours you plan to run the ac at daytime and at night time
2. will the inverter be grid connected
3. will any other load be attached.

if you can answer these questions, then you are gradually building up a case to your solution.
manya:
Good evening all,
I was so disturbed by this extremely hot weather that i want to finally get solution. Please i want to buy 1HP inverter air conditioner and use solar to be powering it. what capacity and type of battery, inverter, panel and charge controller should i go for? just to power the air conditioner only. Thank you.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 10:44pm On May 10, 2023
Assuming your setup is only planned to be used at night while it charge solely with solar and no load during the day time, then i can say

you need 800 - 900W of solar
bsideangel:
@all How many solar panels do I need to charge up a 24V 100amps battery assuming I want to go off-grid completely.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 11:20pm On May 10, 2023
The indicator are not exactly a pointer to watch out for for Addo, you will noticed that the indicator goes up and down with grid power, you should watch out for the the 3 stages of charging right by the battery bars you described.

if it gets to FLT or float then it is full
Olarewajub:
Any one with experience with the ADDO Opal Home inverter?

Mine doesn't seem to charge pass the two mark as shown in the attached image.

When I noticed it I had a TV, and 4 lights on. On the PSW, the load was pulling abt 0.4 amps while on MSW same load was pulling about 0.92 amps

i still see nothing wrong with buying from selina. that some of her shipments, which she delegates to a shipping forwarder had issues doesn't make her untrustworthy. many people has ordered from her and got theirs in less than 3months. shipping issues can arise at any time, especially when it involves dangerous goods like battery. best bet is to order from her and send to zeestone99 china warehouse address.

It's all these Chinese brands. I don't have its pack again and there's no name on it just RHOS plus the power ratings and other specs
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 11:50am On May 11, 2023
You can try Daikin, LG, Panasonic and a few other local ones ..... be sure to use a space calculator to know the type of AC will best fit your needs, so you don't oversize
isangjohnson:
I need 1hp and 2hp inverter AC. Olopan said 1hp inverter AC is 480w while 2hp is 2100w. Please, what is the name of these products?
Does anyone here have better options? I'm more interested in energy efficient products as I intend to run them on solar.

Boss, business is business and it's on trust that people will also patronise you.
She collected shipping fees from alot of people including myself but failed to remit it to the shipping agents.
By right, she was supposed to refund the money to her customers but she refused to.
Will she try this elsewhere?
Please, let us call a spade a spade.
