My apologies for not giving the updates yesterday. Please for anyone applying for study permit, do note that proof of funds is not the only vital criteria. Proper arrangement of your documents is also highly sacrosanct. I recently heard from the International Student Advisory Unit of a Canadian university that the average time a Visa Officer spent on each application is about 6 mins. This means you have a very limited time in convincing the Visa Officer about your application in the midst of hundreds or thousands of applicants. Hence, do ensure to properly structure and present your application and documents in a concise, easily understandable and straightforward manner. I personally recommend using a table of contents so that every section of your application can be seen at a glance. Find below the similar structure I used for mine . I prefer separating my SOP from LOE. My view is that LOE should focus on just explaining the contents of one's application while SOP should focus on everything about oneself (background, course, future plans etc). Wishing you all the best by God's grace. 16 Likes 1 Share

dtrixna01:You'll have to use black market rate. There's a second option though. You can apply for upkeep allowance using the form A process. But there's a limit. 1k or 1k5 dollars per semester depending on your bank. You'll also have to be in Canada before you can apply. And only God knows the processing time. Ohh, there's a 3rd option. You can apply for PTA. Some banks give as much as 4k usd. The minimum is 2k. As a student some banks might not require you needing a return ticket, others will. Also, there's no guarantee you'll get it 2 Likes |

Hi everyone, 1. Please, I want to apply for study visa with my family. But I intend to use microfinance Bank statement. I hope the statement will be acceptable without an issue. 2. The documents, I can use to backup landed and building properties from my parents to me. My parents only have receipts used to purchase the land and survey documents. 3. Should my spouse write hers LOE or including her in my SOP Please your advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks |

Hello house. Please what is the procedure for submission of passport at the Canada VFS office in Lekki, Lagos? I have booked their appointment yesterday. Does it require booking for DHL, UPS etc separately for the movement of the passport or do I have to come back to the VFS office to pick it up physically after it has been stamped? I will appreciate feedback especially from anyone that have done it before. Thanks and regards. |

Hello good day am glad to join this group and bring my plight on here I hope I can get some solution to my issue…I applied for a study permit visa which I got rejected but my proof of funds was enough to get rejected (14 million naira) as proofs, a complete payment of first semester fees and other documents which I still later got rejected…so then I have applied for the GCMS notes to know why they gave me the rejection letter please does anyone here knows how long it take for the notes to be processed any helpful information would be appreciated..thanks |

Ayobamiaz:I was in a similar situation last year. If the rejection is about proof of funds alone (then you are quite lucky). How much is the total tuition? What is the duration of the course. Also, do you have sources of income or investment to back up the 14m? Is the 14m equal or more than the summation of your entire tuition fees, living expenses etc for the whole program? Lastly, when you are reapplying, you can try to pay the full tuition for 1 year in advance and convince the VO that you have additional accessible funds to support the rest of your program. I got my PPR just yesterday. 3 Likes |

The total tuition fee is $19k …I paid $9500 for the first semester..the duration of the course is just a year program..I showed them my business certificate cuz I have a business which I run here also the 14million is just for the living expenses alone for my stay there in Canada |

14million for living expenses is much, even your 1 year program is not up to 14million @$1cad 345. You are cover with tuition and expenses even after you paid first semester already, there’s more to it bro wait till your GCMS note arrive. It’s painful when you tried all your ability to meet up with POF and got denied God ga your back bro Ayobamiaz: |

AskGod07: I had to make sure I have it in excess but I still don’t know why I didn’t get the ppr and I have a friend who did his own and got his ppr for may …he only paid 2200 and 10 million as pof and got his ppr …I think it depends on the officer that handle the application 1 Like |

Ayobamiaz:Ircc take cognizance of inflows n outflows in the account , not like uk that u can jus deposit one 15m or even open fresh acct with huge millions and leave it for 30days den print and submit… na UK dat one work for |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Bobomaigida: 1:42pm On May 12, 2023 |
Ayobamiaz: What was the balance at the beginning of the period of the statement start date? I suspect they could not reconcile the huge balances with your inflows but once you get the GCMs notes, it will be clearer. |
