Hello everyone,

Please I need your advice. Please I plan on applying to schools in Canada, however, I have concerns as I am married however separated from my husband due to domestic violence.

Asides from change of name and marriage certificate, will I be asked any other documents from him?

What are my chances of getting approved?

Passports are stamped in Abuja, that person probably doesn’t know what he/she is saying.

Have decided to go get my passport at vfs office, I was going through the list of documents to collect my passport but one of the requirement is showing of receipt at point of submission.

Is it possible to still get it without the receipt because I didn't submit my passport at vfs, I sent it though DHL.

Good afternoon how does one appeal 5 years ban
You are normally given 14 days to appeal the pending decision (procedural fairness or whatever they call it) but that is before the ban is given. Once it is given there is nothing you can do. Do not waste your money on any consultant/agent/ who will tell you they can appeal it. If you are still interested and focused on japa you will need to start looking at other countries

My apologies for not giving the updates yesterday. Please for anyone applying for study permit, do note that proof of funds is not the only vital criteria. Proper arrangement of your documents is also highly sacrosanct. I recently heard from the International Student Advisory Unit of a Canadian university that the average time a Visa Officer spent on each application is about 6 mins. This means you have a very limited time in convincing the Visa Officer about your application in the midst of hundreds or thousands of applicants. Hence, do ensure to properly structure and present your application and documents in a concise, easily understandable and straightforward manner. I personally recommend using a table of contents so that every section of your application can be seen at a glance. Find below the similar structure I used for mine . I prefer separating my SOP from LOE. My view is that LOE should focus on just explaining the contents of one's application while SOP should focus on everything about oneself (background, course, future plans etc). Wishing you all the best by God's grace.

Lolz what is this. I'm even having headache looking at it. My SOP was just two and a half pages. No LOE and I got my visa. As long as your documents are legible and in the correct section they will see it. It's not an exam or research paper.
However if this is your preferred method to make your mind feel at ease please use it

I'm glad I came across this page, I have been reading through with mixed feelings.

First is the good news from people that have gotten their ppr and second is that it seems my agent is actually not doing anything about my visa, else how do you explain not having any info after 4 months of giving him all the necessary things he needed to kick start the process.

From what I've seen on this thread, I should have atleast done medicals by now.

Pls I need an advice on what to do.

Thank you.

Likely that your agent has submitted nothing. Track him and recover your money

Please this is URGENT:
Please my friend who applied to Conestoga College May intake didn't receive application decision on time after 2 months of submission. She finally decided to defer till Fall intake. Unfortunately the PPR came a day after she had deferred. She has been trying to reach the school to tell them to cancel the deferral so that she can resume ASAP but the school hasn't replied her emails and when she tried calling it was entering voicemail.
Is there a contact phone number she can call? Her campus is Kitchener.
If she is for May intake and she is not yet in Canada it is probably better for her to defer. We just finished week 2 and I have already written about 3 graded assignments.(Fanshawe). If Connestoga is the same how will she go about recovering the missed marks

Sorry I am lost. Are you talking about updated LOA from the second school or the first school that I initially used to apply for the permit.

Are you saying when I get into Canada, you just enroll with the new school and send their LOA to irrc? What of the school that I used their LOA to come to Canada. Wouldn't they write to irrc to Complain?

What I just said is simple nd clear. Enroll in d school of ur choice, send d LOA from d new school nd every student documents to IRCC via web form.
U have a study permit to study in Canada, it is not limited to a particular school, but however if u do so before u enter Canada, u must obtain a new SP. as long as u are in Canada, ur only obligation to IRCC is to study, regardless of d institution, but u have to notify em, so they will keep an updated record of u.

One more question, what if the new school is in a different province entirely. Will that also fly? Because on the tracker, destination of the study permit is showing Ontario. What if the new school is in a different province all together??

I don’t think it should matter. Ur visa gets u into Canada, and u can reside or move freely anywhere in Canada, and ur SP issued u at PoE does not necessarily carry a location. Example; Some pple get their SP at Toronto/Montreal PoE nd they school in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Albert. Etc
