Hello my people... please i need guideline on applying for a 2years visa. I've travelled to the UK last year, where I spent 4months but on my application, I stated that I will be staying for 2weeks. On this new application, is it mandatory that I explain the reason why I stayed 4months instead of 2weeks or should I let it slide.

Do you know what it means to overstay one's visa. This guy didn't overstay his visa for your information, and he doesn't have any explanation to make. The US and UK, unlike the Schengen, issue long visa for first time visitors in appreciation of possible change in circumstances on arrival in the country. Any visitor has a maximum of 6 month for both UK and US. End of.

The date you fill in your form doesn’t matter as long as you didn’t exceed your stay (visa validity). Just recently, a friend’s uncle was in a similar issue. He applied for for a week vacation on a 6months visa but ended up staying for 5months. He recently just got his 2 years uk visa last month

and do you know if this friend uncle of yours applied as a business owner or as an employee?? If I were the ECO I might overlooked this if the applicant is the owner of the business because he has no one to explain why he stayed for 4months in the UK to, unlike someone who is an employee what excuse can he probably give??

You are wicked sir lol 😂

Pardon me that laughter looks suspicious though... But why can't he/she just wait for just 15days before withdrawing the money??

What if the Eco ask he/she to re-submit the statement of account to make his/her decision nko?

Their is period of stay, Their is visa validity.

Please read visa conditions carefully.

If you are allowed maximum stay for 10 days, do not exceed it.
If your visa conditions allows you for 3 month on a single entry, you can stay uptill 3 month but do not exceed it.

The conditions for every granted permit is always stated in the sticker, including your number of entries e.g 1 - meaning single, Go and come back, with no opportunity to go again, you have to re apply OR M - Go and come back multiple times within a stipulated period.

The argument should be you said 2weeks, and stayed 4months. Did your visa condition allow you ?

We should state facts rather than rigmaroling on issues.

Please for clarity, does Nigeria bank operate in the UK? I have some money in my Nigeria bank account and I want to know if it's safe to leave it or withdraw all.

Better to leave it till a decision is made.

Yea it sure depends and I don’t expect an active employee to stay that long outside the country. The said uncle is a retiree and the son is on a student visa abroad.

If you are low-key asking if they'll verify your account statement, yes they will.

My guy, you are better off getting a dollar card with which to withdraw everything in the UK and putting in a UK bank account

You have no business explaining why you stayed 4months as long as the visa had not expired and you then decided you exceed the validity date in the uk.

The Eco has no business asking any questions cos the visa is multiple entry and last for 6 months.

I hear you sir, but have you ever stayed 6months on each of your visit to the UK before, and re-apply after that??

All this information is on google.
While looking for a “cheap” university make sure it is accredited so you don’t graduate with a valueless certificate.

UK visitor visa is always 6 months multiple entry. At the point of entry, the border office stamps you in without any period of stay.

This is true, but we are just trying to correct some applicants intention of overstaying what you wrote on the form....
Please note ukvi said you can stay for up to 6months on a visit visa, but as an employee does it makes sense to stay away from work for a whole 4months when the job is not a remote job..

I come in peace ✌️✌️

They still need guidance to avoid schools requiring enrolment fees, especially if they don't have a fat pocket.

Log into your UKVI account, click on provide biometrics, it'll redirect you to TLS website where you can see your application details including appointment, look for the last option on the column - that's where you upload.

I know. I gave that explanation for proper clarity, it seem like so many travelers do not know the consequences of over staying what you wrote on the form, ONLY , if ECOs overlook. Always abide by what you wrote.
