I have a bachelor in law and currently undergoing a masters in law in South Africa. I would love to relocate to Canada by January. I applied for the graduate certificate project management course for January start and still waiting feedback however now I’m been discouraged thst there is possibility of me not getting a visa even if I get the admission as there’s no reason for me to do a post graduate certificate after dong a masters. But I have a short training certificate on business analysis and would actually like to tour the project management route. Also I’m not interested in doing another masters in law plus the masters is in September not January. I’m a bit skeptical . Can anyone please advise . Is it not possible to argue I want to tow the part of project management in order to become a legal project manager |

kobobay: How did you do it?. Did you use courrier service or you submitted it by yourself. What was the process for submission. |

If you do, know that they will only consider funds in your gtb account. The funds in the MFB account won't be considered at all. It appears the only time they consider MFB is if its the applicant's salary account...and even then it's still a 50/50 thing depending on the VO. harley4: |

debans12: I used UPS to send it to them. If you are using a courier service, you do not need an appointment. |

Sussyyyyy:To the best of my own knowledge.. No! You can do it after applying, before the medical test is requested for.. I don't even think you can do it before applying. How will it be linked to your profile when it's sent to IRCC? |

Hello guys, my medical is at IOM Ikeja tomorrow, I’ll be going through Ojuelegba axis can anyone help with directions. I’m using public transport |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by tenderjunkie: 8:53am On May 14, 2023 |
Sussyyyyy:It is not compulsory. There are 2 types of upfront medicals. The one you do before you submit your application. In this case while filling out your GCKEY application you'll have to answer 'yes' to the question that asks if you have done medicals within a timeframe. You'll be mandated to submit your medical information or result before you can submit your application. Then there's the one you do after submitting an application. It is called upfront medical because IRCC is yet to request for it. It is recommended you let IRCC know you've done this by submitting a webform 5 Likes |

Take a bus to maryland roundabout, stop at the last buststop of that maryland, cross to the other side of the brige as if you are going to board a bus back to ojuelegha, then as the commercial bus Driver you are going to iom,its workable from their if you can work, but if you want to board a bus is just #100 fair. olabisi6438: 1 Like |

My passport is valid for 5years to expire 2027 but I intend extend it to 10yrs .I already hv a Canadian visa on it for one year to expire Dec 2023 intend traveling by Aug 2023. My worry is if I extend to 10 years will it affect my visa as the immigration officer said they would state on the old passport ‘ cancel without prejudice’ hence it still validates the visa. Just want to know if anyone has an idea of this. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by tenderjunkie: 9:35am On May 14, 2023 |
Eventus31:5 years is enough time to have on your passport. Why don't you get into Canada first then extend your study permit and visa |

Hello Everyone, Please has anyone gotten study permit with a one year Masters program? It looks to me like more people are getting visas with a college program than Master's degree.. My cousin who intend to do a one year Masters program in University of Waterloo got rejected for the 2nd time. School fees for the entire program (45,000 cad) has been fully paid, he submitted his savings and investment accounts which has more than enough for his living expenses for more than 1 year, apart from that he added his brother's account who is his sponsor. So in terms of finance, he submitted his sponsor and his own personal savings and investment accounts which has more than enough money, no lump sum in any of the accounts. Now, all his siblings are in Canada as citizens and PR, he is the only one remaining in Nigeria apart from the parents. The reasons for his refusal are: 1. Insufficient financial and assets which is surprising as school fees is fully paid and living expenses shown is more than enough. No lump sum 2. Not having substantial family ties outside Canada. Yes all siblings are in Canada but should he be punished for that? Besides, parents are still in Nigeria 3. The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with temporary stay. I don't understand given that his program aligns with his education and work experience for his career growth. Note he is newly married and spouse is not going with him which I think was a good home ties yet ...... According to GCMS, the first refusal was Insufficient financial situation and didn't establish relationship with sponsor who is his blood brother despite paid school fees and enough available funds for living expenses. This was addressed again in the 2nd application. I'm beginning to doubt if this VOs actually go through these applications. I'm so much interested in his case cos my own last born is the only one remaining in Nigeria and I want to sponsor him next year so I'm following closely the success of my cousins application. I'm beginning to wonder if there are hidden reasons for refusal other than what they officially state cos some refusals don't make logical sense. Please how do we proceed from here? Should he change from Masters to 2 year college program? |

When you are answering those questionnaires, a place you are asked if you have done medical, if you say yes, then a place will be provided for you to upload your upfront medical sheet. If irrc need your medical result, they will simply contact IOM or qlife for your result. You wouldn't even know till you see medical passed on your portal. |
