I will advise you not to use your Fx if you’re paying from Nigeria and you want to book Lufthansa airline to Canada. There are date for Lufthansa airline that are less than 900k (paying with naira account). $3100 is too expensive

I'm preparing to submit my student permit application for Canada next week, but this lump sum understanding is what I don't really understand, make I no go lose guard. Pls what is lump sum? I think it is a huge some amount deposited at once right ? Well, in my own case since January 2023 I have been receiving over a million to 3m in my account, though sometimes I do receive 3k naira self, so far sha I have received huge amount of transactions in the last 3 months. Like Feb 2023 I had 7m transfered to my account from sales of property, and I move 4m from my other bank too, plus another 8m from a sales of property just this week. Pls I Nedd u guys to give me advise if those amounts are lump sum abi how should I explain those transactions in my SOP, I beg ooo. God will crown our efforts all.

I finally got them to respond with the tracking number, and this is the message I got after using the tracking number: Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office on 2023/05/16. To know more, please call the VAC helpline number or visit the VAC website....

Does that mean that I will be getting it back soon?

I just submitted my application and in one of the forms, I indicated that 2 dependents would accompany me to Canada but I was charged only for myself and not the dependents also.

Now my biometrics letter is out and I got one biometrics capture letter too.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

You will make visa application of your dependants separately even you mentioned them in your visa application, and also any of your dependants that are younger than 14 years are exempt from providing biometric information

I’m planning to do a new POF to my GTB (Salary account). Print Statement in few wks time and submit my application with explanation that I’ve liquidated the fixed deposit to a verifiable financial institution.

Anyone who can throw more light on this will be appreciated.

Now I want to transfer the money back to my account and apply for visa. Can I do dt? I mean is it achievable?

These are my fears..
1. The money is going to be a LUMP SUM, so how do I defend that I am NOT DIVERTING money meant for my child for my own gain(although, there is alot of evidence to show that all the money in my child account was transferred from my account bit by bit over the years; in the space of 4yrs.

OR
should I just transfer now and print my account in October (4month) so that the lump-sum won't show . If I do 6month or 1yr MBS there will be good inflow and outflow but the lump-sum too will show

Please leave the funds in your child's account, get a reference letter showing you are the signatory to the account, explain that you were saving the funds in the account to guard against impulsive spending and the interest paid on children's account, reiterate the fact that you have been the one saving funds in there to be used at a later date.

I want to ask further,
What if I transfer part/half of the money to my account so the VO would know that I truly have access to withdraw the money.
I have read on this thread before that you should transfer from your BUSINESS account to your PERSONAL account cos using a business account for studies is suspicious.
So, using the same ideology now, don't you feel sir that using a child's account could be suspicious?

I'm not trying to argue here, I just need more clarification.

I can see people still dey collect gbasgbos for this platform, please we are here to achieve one thing in common and that is 'Study Visa' whether shalomshalom doesn't want to post her time line or not It shouldn't affect anyone we move ask others for their documents and time-line. 11 days insnt common but it's also not impossible especially at this time when people are not really submitting study permit the peak of applications is June and July so those who are yet to submit please do so so you don't end up like me and please those going to Ontario let's link up, even if it's not Uottawa. That is also fine, just ensure you explain in your SOP why you did that and back up the ownership of both accounts with bank reference letters, using the child's account is not suspicious because you are the owner of the account at least on till the child turns 18.
