Razgas: Dude, we don't build churches like that anymore ANYWHERE in Nigeria! That was the style of bulding churches and cathedrals during colonial times! Hope you're not trying to be mischievous? |

ruggedtimi: The bolded is true, however i noticed some estates in Owerri have low walls and you can see into the properties and admire the buildings. 1 Like |

toneroforever: It goes beyond mentality. There are many decent places in Lagos. Eg, Marina, VI, Ikoyi and Lekki. It has to do with the quality of leaders and resources. Nigeria may be richer than Ukraine (I haven't independently confirmed this though), but Nigeria's massive population is killing her. It will require of a lot of resources to maintain and secure 200 million than 50 million people (Ukraine population). Again, corruption is killing us in this part of the world. The little resources we have are looted instead of using it to improve the lives of the people. 2 Likes |

PROUDIGBO:I'm asking why don't we build it anymore in Enugu. I'm uninterested in what happens elsewhere in Nigeria. I'm from enugu, my investments are in Enugu, I schooled and served in Enugu. I have never stayed anywhere else in Nigeria for up to 3 weeks. I see little things that don't cost much that Enugu can implement to elevate its profile. Skyscrapers are not the only way to build a skyline |

sonature1:karachi, Pakistan looks cool even with 200 million people and little oil. Building enugu to look colonial and gothic won't cost more money. It costs about the same amount to build a gothic house or a plain one. It's just about vision. 1 Like

Razgas: I can see you personally like that type of architecture. Unfortunately, many people don't. Houses we build in Nigeria look more like American style than British. I like the American style myself. Those kinds of houses are built to last too; you just need quality materials to build them. Again, that Karachi picture you posted is trashy, I am afraid. Karachi is as bad as Nigerian cities if not worse. I maintain that Nigéria needs to control her population, so we can have enough money for other things. A bunch of unproductive people add nothing to the economy, but only take away. 1 Like |

Razgas:You don't understand my point. The idea of the dome was to resemble that of US capitol which is obviously roman architecture. Instead they ended up making it look like a mosque. That of national theatre is more original and aesthetically pleasing 1 Like |

Kukutenla:Lol the mosque is also part of roman style. Don't forget that Istanbul was once called constantinopole and was the capital of eastern roman empire. I can tell you now that NASS was built by babangida to look exactly the way it looks. I also like how the national theatre looks |

sonature1:I agree. But we don't build American style houses either. We just build buildings. Like this enugu hospital below with little style. However I wish we could add some style to our new neighbourhoods 3 Likes

Cassandraloius:Stupid dunce with no brain. I guess it was white people that ruled your ancestors for thousands of years before whites invaded. Stupid air head. Plus you need to travel to places like Rwanda and Kenya and Angola so your dumb head can see that black African cities can compare favourably with any on Earth. Fcking embarrassment of a slave drowned in self hatred and inferiority complex. 1 Like |

Razgas: We do not build “just buildings”. We build modern NIGERIAN architecture. That is OUR preferred style of building. We are not Americans or Europeans. THIS is how WE like OUR buildings. You dig? Now run along and quit disturbing people with your slave mentality. Mr America and Europe. Tomorrow you will tell us not to eat eba again, only spaghetti. Idiots. |

Quintopia:I just pray you are not Igbo because that would mean that it is people like you who can't control their emotions that make other tribes see as 'headless mob'. You will find that tactfulness is not easy but could be rewarding As a typical Nigerian, you may want to reply me. But take a moment and reflect |
