Thank you for that sincere opinion. Imagine he told me to shut up because I expressed my opinion. One even said my comments are negative.

Converting VV to WP is possible but chances is extremely low.

Good luck to whoever going that route.

Some people are using VV to migrate to several countries including Canada with no intention of returning home and they still survive out of determination and sheer grit! It doesn’t mean it came on a platter of gold. Nothing good comes easy including conversion of one’s VV to WP.

Yes, there are a number of pathways a VV holder can use to legitimize getting any job. Such pathways are study permit, marriage, etc.
Some are fortunate to even get LMIA-approved jobs after a few weeks.

Again, it’s very pertinent to point out that your chances of getting LMIA-approved jobs are better when you don’t just settle in Ontario. There are several provinces you can move to.

10 years ago when I migrated abroad for the first time, after 4 years as a graduate with no job, it was even on a group visa and with only USD$300 as PTA. Got a job after a month with a refugee permit, went on to live and work in that country for four years, making a minimum of USD$2,000 after tax every month before I relocated again.

I strongly believe that a good number of people who intend migrating to Canada with VV and hoping to get a LMIA-approved job do not have better opportunities back home (I doubt if someone on a #500,000 per month job will want to go through the stress unless as a trial of a month or two and if no success, returns to his job back home) and the ‘shege’ they have seen in Nigeria will spur them to patiently keep pushing and fighting until they make headway. Naija people are resilient and it shows wherever they move to. If overpopulation is affecting Canadian labor force, borders would have been partially or fully closed and it will be extremely difficult to be receiving VV or study permit approvals.

Even some people who arrived with PR didn’t find it easy getting a job. Life is all about doing your best, time, patience, etc and things will fall in place for you.

please i need a sincere advice. We are a family of 6, that is huband wife and four children, my husband has ond in business administration and has been working as access control officer in seplat for 10 years. while I have hnd in Accounting without work experience.. please which route is best for us to relocate to Canada?
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by josephb(m): 12:52am On May 17, 2023
My advice; since your Husband has OND and you also have HND, either of you should apply for study permit (For you, luckily can get a PGD or PGC) , whilst your husband or you apply for SOWP and Children above 5 should apply for study permit if you have the money for that route.

That family is too large to japa on a Visitor's Visa, (try to listen when people tell you things).

You can decide to apply together if your POF and Faith can work for you, or your Husband/You should apply for the Study Permit, after approval then apply for others.

for the study thread follow this link;

This is my own sincere Advice.

N.B: Are you sure Oga knows about this plan or you are the one gingering him? No woman no cry! Lol.

Best of Luck.

Are these people IRCC on Leave or holiday?

For about couple of weeks now we've not been hearing news about approval and PPR .

They’re working o, study visa drops like water. Visitor application isn’t given priority.

Let keep sending mails and Webform. I don’t know if it works at this stage but I will keep sending.

Hi Good people, please I need some clarification, A relative applied for a visit visa for Canada via an agent and the visa processing took less than 3 months till visa is out, I know Canada delays a lot so out of curiosity I asked if they took his fingerprint and he said No because he previously applied before and got a refusal so finger print wasn’t needed. I know for Uk and other countries fingerprints are taken every time you apply even if it’s immediately after the refusal. Experienced people do Canada ignore to take fingerprints if reapplying? Also is is possible to get VV in less than 3 months ? He is convincing my cousin to do same and I just tot something isn’t right, I know the minimum processing time is 1 year + even on Canada website it says 785 days.

Biometrics expires after 10years. Applicants won’t need to redo biometrics for any application within that period.

Also 3 months duration is possible, I’ve seen 1 month duration. Ircc isn’t predictable. While some applicant since 2020 are still waiting, some 2023 applicants have received ppr.

I think fingerprint is just once in Canada application because it gets saved in their system for certain years. I’m curious, how much did he/she pay the agent?

That’s much o. You can do it yourself, 5M is even enough for POF. I don’t see why you need an agent.

Hmmm that processing time is hard to believe even with previous refusal.

Some that even qualified for Can+ still takes forever.

That person should request for his/her login details from the agent or maybe UCI or application number so it can be tracked.

5m is alot and questionable.

The biometric (fingerprint) for the first application is saved for 10 years, so you won’t need to do another biometric for subsequent applications for the next 10 years.

Canada Immigration doesn’t follow any particular order or pattern for the processing of applications. Some people are lucky and their applications are processed within weeks after submission, while others wait longer.

I am not against your relative for using an agent, but the 5 million naira price tag is outrageous for something you can do yourself. I don’t think your relative is telling you the truth because no one in their right mind would pay such a price.

Put the 5 million naira in your account, then do the application yourself. You can come here to ask questions if you encounter any issues during the application.

No one has control over the processing of Canada visa applications, so don't allow any agents or friends to deceive you.

Use your money wisely, and don't be desperate.

My aunty’s visa took about two weeks while my mother in-law’s visa came out after two months. The timeline is unpredictable and is determinant on many factors

Good day great people,

Please a friend of my got a refusal letter for Visiting Visa He and his family did in 2020, but the most confusing statement/comment written on it states:

"Your application indicates that you have a debt to the crown"

We don't understand what this really mean because he has never lived in Canada and that was his first application for him and his family.

Please anyone with this experience should help me interprete it and the implications, if any.

Best case scenario is, they applied for charge back and got refunded after application and Canadian government paid or they made payment but Canadian government didn't receive it and probably it was approved and maybe refunded back
But in any case, order a GCM note or Atip to know how much you owe and trace it to the application if it's the accurate amount and pay, then apply again and sometimes it could be a mistake from Canadian embassy, so only the notes will give you a clearer view

It’s about application fee. Either a fraudulent card was used, or the payment didn’t go through.

Oh thanks so much, how do one apply to GCM or Atip? And like how many days can we get their response??

Also, with this comment on their refusal letter , can they apply again without settling this ?

Atip is free and take 18 to 30 working days
Gcm is paid and take around 30 working days also
And I do not know the current price for gcm but gcm is the best, it' gives detailed explanations.
They cannot apply until they settle this and the worse thing is that, this can affect them when applying for usa, uk, newzealand visa, bcus they share info
So sort it out first before applying for any other application
