ijustdey:God indeed prepared Jagaban for this time. Now is the time to remove the oil subsidy and channel the yearly embezzled money in the name of subsidy to infrastructure development, health and education. This must be removed when dangote's refinery is working ooo not now. Before May 29, it will start operating fully |

Stay in school...its called DEMAND and SUPPLY. Why is a Pencil N100 in Nigeria and $2 in the USA (N1500). If Dangote and BUA was losing money, they wont be selling it at that price. Cost of doing businesses in Nigeria is also higher...do you even know how many trucks they need to meet the demand of Cement in Nigeria? That is how you expand operation as well. We do not question Facebook, Twitter and so on when we pay for adverts. Stop being a HATER and support AFRICANS and AFRICA. taylor88: 3 Likes |

taylor88: go to school you say school na scam. Simple demand and supply you don't know. Dangote would have spent his money on flexing but he chose to take his chance with the gaps in the economy and you are here YAPPING like a mad dog. Your country allowed Dangote to be rich. Your fellow citizen is providing what your country FAILED to provide for you so Blame your country and leave Ghana out of your stupid talk. what a dunce. 4 Likes |

Re: Dangote Refinery To Meet 100% In-country Consumption Requirement – Report by CodeTemplar: 3:55pm On May 17, 2023 |
ednut1:Oga, subsidy is sustainable as long as we don't spend money to put crude oil into the ground. Any other argument is partisan debate exercise. Whether we like it or not trillions will be stolen after subsidy is gone(if it ever goes away) so no point claiming we have no money. 1 Like 2 Shares |

maxiart2: How can raw material cost be high, Limestone is produced in Nigeria, same with Kaolin and Gypsum, and his cement factories are powered by coal. so how in God's name should cement be high in Nigeria whereas his export to other countries are cheaper than in Nigeria. The same Dangote wanted to try the monopoly thing for Dangote Flour and Dangote Noodles he couldn't best Flour mills and Dee United foods, he ended up selling the noodles business to Dee united and the flour mills to Flour mill Nigeria limited. Dangote cannot survive in a free market economy where everyone is allowed to compete without government favoritism. 1 Like 1 Share |

taylor88: Sometimes, many people like you think you are slandering the country intentionally with your fake stat like one presidential candidate in the just concluded general election but in the real sense of it, you are destroying yourself and your generation because all of you are part of us who made up Nigeria! As at today in Ghana, minimum price of cement is an equivalent of $8.30. You can do the maths yourself if you wish. Lagos alone can boast of over $120B GDP while the entire Ghana has a paltry $66B GDP in 2023. Oh, I forgot having a logical argument online is such a waste of time. 3 Likes |

CodeTemplar:talking like an novice. So do we just go and fetch crude with bucket Do you know the daily cost of an oil rig, expatriate staff, private security headed by ex USA army officials, Nigerian navy, community levies, helicopter costs, boat cost, charges for pipeline use, storage costs at bonny and escarvos , loan interest and principal costs in USD etc. so after incurring all these costs they should sell at a cheaper price than the international prices, you talk shit. 3 Likes |

What they did not tell us in that report is when? When will the refinery become 30%, 50% or 75% operational... The other report said he is still looking for loans and it will not operate much will around 2025... This refinery is actually about 25% owned by FG... who knows the other major shareholders ? BTW what about the other modular refineries like the one in Edo and Imo State... What we do not need is another monopoly like what currently holds in the cement and sugar sub-sector... 1 Like 1 Share |
