Lo and behold, year 2023, my aunty experienced this toothache issue, she has given birth to 2children too herself, she was like Emma, ogun wo lo lo nigba ti eyin dun e nigba yen( that is which medicine did i use then when i had toothache), like seriously my beautiful aunty was crying like a baby, i felt her pain cos i have gone through it myself, i never knew i could carry her, i took her to her hospital for proper treatment. i couldn't make jest of her like she did to me cos i haven't seen her in that mood before.
Later after the pain has gone, she is feeling much better, i now ask her, aunty you have gone through the two, which is more painful, she was like Emma, it is toothache o, it was like half of my body from head to toe is paining me, didn't you hear when i was telling the doctor to remove all my teeth.

I tried to bear it without waking up anyone, for where? I stepped out at some point. I later tied gele to cover my two ears to reduce the pain. You know that pain that you won't know whether to stand up, sit down, or even crouch.

First thing in the morning I went straight to the hospital, one FMC around the area. Even as I was going, I still covered my ears, behaving like kolomental on the way. I was the first patient for the day. It was two teeth that had holes and were excruciatingly painful. The dentist after examining me said I need to remove two but they don't remove two at the same time. I said I no gree, he must remove them!

He had a lady dentist with him. First, they numbed side 'A', then he tried to do likewise to the other side but it wasn't numbing, it only got numbed about 60% . I said he should add to the amount of the analgesic, he said it would be overdose. He removed the first tooth, no pain. Then, the second one, I felt the pain but I bore it. So painful that I held his hand.

You thought I'd be relieved afterwards, for where? Blood refused to stop! Cotton wool after cotton wool got soaked. They said I can't be released if the bleeding doesn't stop. Na so I dey there till evening o! They said I can go but that some more teeth will still develop problems later. In my mind I reject it. I left.

A few years later, two teeth actually became painful. But this time, I decide to go traditional. My brother-in-law made some concoction with cloves, dried Cameroon pepper, alcohol and some other things. Once I feel that the pain is building up, I use the substance to gag the corners. Very peppery kinda pain, I don't ever swallow it. But the pain will disappear instantly leaving you drooling. You may not feel any pain again for close to a year. It's what I use now, very effective.

I don't know all the ingredients. I can find out from my brother-in-law though and get back to you. Or better still, if you know any "elewe-omo" market, you can go ask them to make a concoction for toothache for you. I don't think it's expensive.
