The Igbos didn't want to hear anything like secession or breakup in the early sixties when they were the ones in government.. All the juicy posts in civil service, education, foreign affairs and foreign missions, etc. were held by them. Ahmadu Bello in his interview claimed Igbos were the ones in Northern civil service before he came and had to introduce Northernization policy to make sure no Northern job was held by outsiders especially Igbos and it worked and has remained so till date. Akintola too said it that out of 112 people employed at the Premier University in Nigeria and in Yorubaland, only 3 were Yorubas while the remaining close to 100 were Igbos (a University in Yorubaland o). They made sure the VCs in Ibadan and Lagos were Igbos but Northerners resisted such in their own domain. He said something about Igbos always wanting to fill themselves as top to bottom in every organization they find themselves and it is 100 percent correct. Reason the younger generation Yorubas must wake up and take up what rightfully belong to them in this present day and time. Don't let anybody call you tribalist to guilt trip you, you have every right over your lands and jobs in South West, Nigeria. Our parents allowed Igbos feed them with lies that Northerners are bad, are this and that just so Yorubas can be out of mainstream politics in Nigeria which was exactly what happened. Reason so many States in South West aren't looking so posh as Lagos that had British presence first and later Federal government. The Igbos despite having power didn't develop their region but were busy enriching themselves, living flamboyant lives and sending their wards on scholarships and abroad trips with Nigerian government money. Akintola said it that no tribe in Nigeria enjoyed half of what Igbos enjoyed from largesse at the centre, yet they claim victims all the time. If Igbos tell you they want biafra, tell them to leave and never return. Let them go and rule over themselves as they please. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

Hypocrites! Werey people! Na your life he dey waste? Why are you crying more than the bereaved? Shey another election will soon come, let's see how many Yoruba people will come out for your candidate with the nonsense that you people have paid the ones that voted for you back with. Tribal bigots... The whole east voted for one candidate and they don't consider themselves to be tribal bigots. But a region that had its votes spread across the 3 major candidates is the one that is tribalistic... HYPOCRITES of the highest order Ewu.. Afonjanawerey: 18 Likes 4 Shares |

Afonjanawerey: Empty vessel will keep making noise.. your people think it's business as usual where they will come to South West to tell Yorubas 'do this, don't do that'. News flash my friend.. Y'all have failed. Most Yorubas are all over Abuja now and will counter all your lies in real time. The power God has given to our son, we'll use to develop our region to taste and enthrone our wards into key positions in governmemt. The next Minister of Foreign Affairs will be Yoruba by God's grace so our sons and daughters can get postings to all Nigerian Embassies and stations in all the countries in the world which Igbos have monopolized. This is the time of Yoruba progress in Nigeria. 7 Likes 1 Share |

flokii: All these paragraphs, yet you skipped your part of history where the same Akintola whom you extol for his infamous "Yoruba ronu" diatribe and speech against the Igbos also caused the fracas and anarchy that not only sent Awolowo (his fellow Yorubaman) to jail on grounds of treason, but was also responsible for inciting his faction of Action Group to unleash anarchy in the Western region, the "operation wetie" where political opponents doused each other and other tribes with raw acid can't be forgotten in your own version of history right? Akintola and Awolowo were both responsible for the first act of political turmoil that destroyed the peace of the First republic. How come the "Yoruba ronu" rants of Akintola didn't suffice when he stabbed Awolowo in the back and brought instability to his region. Stupid revisionist monkey. Igbos simply dominated the yorubaas in the Western region cause they outpaced you in education, a fact the British themselves acknowledged. 2 Likes |

Everyday, everytime, everywhere Igbo dis, Igbo dat. Failures always blame the Igbo man for their own woes. Nigeria blaming the Igbos sonce 1960. These type of Nigerians don't even think forward again in their lives because of the Igboman. They don't make progress anymore because of the Igboman dead and alive. These people can not manage Nigeria unless the Igboman is blamed. Thesame Nigerians don't know what is good for them unless an Igboman is involved. Na wa. Let these Igbo people have their biafra, thesame people said No while shouting go back to your village. If these things are not pure hate, insanity and tribalism, I don't know what it is Gosh. Dis hate and jealousy of the Igbo no normal again o If I leave this World I will like to come back like an Igboman. Insha Allah |

gidgiddy:Yes. War because Nnamdi Azikiwe due to greed ensured that a secession clause was NOT included in the constitution despite Awolowo and Bello wanting the clause. If you really want your Biafla, tell all your politicians (senators) to move the motion for your referendum in the Senate. 7 Likes 1 Share
