did any here say that Jose is better than pep?

Even you were the one that brought pep to the argument jus to discredit Jose’s success with Roma n his coaching career as a whole

You started the comparison jus to spite the one you hate so much

Still a student of Guardiola, Arteta gave him winning tips.

Who did Mourinho help?
He recommended Jose Ororo Paseiro to Pinnick.

If you didn't know better you would think Zidane was an assistant coach to Guardiola for at least a year, whereas he was only there for a three-day visit alongside other French coaches. When he was interviewed he hailed the top management of the club first, which means he admired the organization. Zidane did not learn anything from Guardiola. If I can learn enough from someone in three days to win three consecutive CL, how many do you think that someone should have? cheesy grin

Agreed, Pep is a fantastic manager. Question to you sir, is Mourinho a top Manager?

Old an unfit squad you say 😂

A squad where no team can boast of beating them home and away easily in the premiership

City never struggled there’s not a season you’ll see them struggle like Chelsea or Man U or Arsenal or Liverpool or tothenham did.

City was the most serial winner in 2014 upwards
The got the points
The goals and the position to back it up.
City for almost a decade now always end up in
1-2-3 and 3 is by mistake
You’re telling me that city is not consistent.
This thread is like a beer parlour, do you have sense at all bro.

Look at the picture you posted, what's the average age of city players?

Majority are 30 years, that's the squad pep inherited, an old and weak squad filled with over weight players like Yaya Toure, Nasri, clichy.

The squad that finished 4 and qualified for UCL play off thanks to West Ham.

If not for West Ham beating man United on matchday 36, city would have finished 5th.

Since pep needs to coach mid table teams to be considered as a great manager, Kuku carry am go Crystal palace.

Nonsense.

I don't know how this recent Pep vs Jose debate started.

If it's Roma's UEL victory, then something is wrong with you guys.

You trolled Barcelona for getting banished to ULOPKA league, but praises Mourinho for qualifying for the same ULOPKA final.

There is a very big difference between the champions league and Europa league.

Elite coaches shouldn't be celebrating this small trophies, when teams like Barca, Madrid, Bayern get dropped to the UEL, we all knows that it's a big downfall and a big dent on the legacies of this iconic teams.
Your friend began wailing that Mourinho won poorly. He was scolded and he ran back to his normal muse, Pep

It isn't a weird thing that a club of Roma's calibre is in the UEL but it is for Barca.

Elite coaches should be able to prove their elitism in any team/league/competition they go. No?

Elite coach winning with elite team would not cause much of a stir.

But Elite coach winning with an average team. And someone wants to downplay it just because it doesn't fit his "style" of football? That's arrogance

Influence.

Guardiola is the key. The man that changed the get and most top coaches adapted from him.

Before Guardiola, it was not played at this depth and forms the foundation of their plays.

Finito.
Pep was not even the one who started this tikitaka stuff. Arsenal Wenger did play something close during his time at Arsenal. Has Zerbi (Brighton's coach) ever worked with Pep before? We have a lot of coaches playing tikitaka and are not in anyway related to Pep.

But..

It isn't weird that a elite coach like Jose, a man dubbed "the special one"

Your double standard stinks bro.

The fact is that Mourinho is finished, man couldn't attract Top teams anymore, his style of play is outdated.

Teams like Bayern, Barcelona wouldn't even think of appointing Mourinho, because the tradition is at stake, the tiki taka, that's the tradition.

A special one whose team couldn't even get a shot on Target against Leverkusen, that's ridiculous... How can a lover of football be applauding Jose's style?

Hypocrisy? Ancelotti coached Everton. By your simple minded argument. He was finished

Next season returned to still beat Pep

Pep perfected it by having the luxury of players that made it work during he’s time at barca

The reason why he goes all out to get highly skilled possession based players to any club he went

For tikitaka to work you need highly skilled and intelligent footballers starting from the goal keeper which is the main reason why ball playing goal minders are in high demand in this era

Influence. Even De Zerbi is influenced by Pep Guardiola. Guardiola made it an art and many have studied his methods. Guardiola has books and videos and most of them, if not all of them are learning his methods. He changed the game.

So you're comparing Championship to EPL? Luton, a team whose stadium is not bigger than one primary school football field will probably be playing in EPL next season. Did you expect this at the start of the season?
Can you guarantee Burnley will survive EPL relegation next season with their brilliant play? The fact is that Big Sam and Pulis will only fight to stay up with the kind of team the manage.

My point is simple. Poor tactical play might win games and titles to earn praise. But bright tactical play leads to dominance after a long time.

Sagna worked with De Zerbi and saw his coaching methods similar to what Pep Guardiola was doing in Manchester City and pointed he was destined for the top. It is bright tactics that does this. Park bus will not lead to dominance.

Simplito.
