So you're comparing Championship to EPL? Luton, a team whose stadium is not bigger than one primary school football field will probably be playing in EPL next season. Did you expect this at the start of the season?
Can you guarantee Burnley will survive EPL relegation next season with their brilliant play? The fact is that Big Sam and Pulis will only fight to stay up with the kind of team the manage.

Can you guarantee Mourinho will win a major league title again?

Influence. Even De Zerbi is influenced by Pep Guardiola. Guardiola made it an art and many have studied his methods. Guardiola has books and videos and most of them, if not all of them are learning his methods. He changed the game.

oga football hv evolved and majority of coaches today either play gen gen pressing or tikitaka football

Stop making it seem like pep was the first to invent it. That was the same method that made Van Gaal to be highly regarded in world football. He won the ucl with a young and unknown Ajax team against star studded AC Milan in 1995 and made it to the finals of the same competition the next season but lost to juventus

Agreed, Pep is a fantastic manager. Question to you sir, is Mourinho a top Manager?

I won't call him a top manager in the current era. Big clubs do not want him. Even if they call him, with time his tactics gets exposed and he gets kicked out.

I can bet with anything that if Jose moved to PSG or even Newcastle and afforded the opportunity to get the players he wants he stands the chance of winning the ucl again

Did Zerbi's team and City have the same method of buildup?
Pep actually learned from someone, added his own spices and carried on.
Attributing the tactic of the like of Arteta, Xabi and Kompany to Pep is a disgrace to football fandom.
You can't just say they all learn from Pep without considering their personal input.

There is a difference between total football and modern day tiki taka. Guardiola brought tactical inventions that led to its success.

To start with, Van Der Sar at Ajax was not exchanging passes with defenders the way Ederson, Ter Stergen, and Valdes did/do. It was Guardiola that made it key in recent games.

Invention, invention. No one said he is the first possession coach. Heck, he is a disciple of Johan Cruyff. However, his invention revolutionized the game and made it a modern art.

Finito.

So apart from Pep, who are the top managers?

Xavi on Guardiola going to Manchester City:

“The first year of Pep started a revolution of football. We made history. No only through the triumphs, but in how we played. In only a couple of years, nobody was playing with long balls anymore…even Madrid changed their style. He changed world football, not just Barcelona. I think he’s one of the only people who could change English football.”

Remember Xavi played for Luis Van Gaal.

My point is simple. Poor tactical play might win games and titles to earn praise. But bright tactical play leads to dominance after a long time.

Sagna worked with De Zerbi and saw his coaching methods similar to what Pep Guardiola was doing in Manchester City and pointed he was destined for the top. It is bright tactics that does this. Park bus will not lead to dominance.

Simplito.

With all the tactics guardiola couldn’t win a champions league with Bayern

Jupp took over and done it in a single season now who’s a better coach ?

Mind you Bayern doesn’t need guardiola to win the league and it’s local trophies.

Stop a$$licking

No matter how pretty your football is you’ll eventually face a drought period like everyone else

Ask recent Barcelona or Ajax these are top high possessions teams that has been turned into crumps

You as a head coach won’t be there forever so your philosophy won’t be there for ever either.
Unless it’s been built from the ground up.

10 years after pep city won’t play this type of ball
Bayern changed style instantly as pep left

Champions League is not the only title. Count trophy winning in recent years and you will see that Mourinho can't even eat off the crumbs of Guardiola.

Four EPL in five years and going for the fifth one with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in the league. Haba.

We will play Pep-ball because we are raising a team of coaches of Guardiola. If Kompany coaches us, what style would we play? Pep style. What of De Bruyne, and Gundogan doing their badges?

If you didn't know better you would think Zidane was an assistant coach to Guardiola for at least a year, whereas he was only there for a three-day visit alongside other French coaches. When he was interviewed he hailed the top management of the club first, which means he admired the organization. Zidane did not learn anything from Guardiola. If I can learn enough from someone in three days to win three consecutive CL, how many do you think that someone should have? cheesy grin

Argue with Zidane. Zidane said he learnt a lot, you are telling Zidane, no you did not learn anything.

How many of your continental managers can win titles like Pep. Pep pursues loads of titles season in, season out. This lead to players exhaustion and can cause them to lose semi finals or finals. That does not change how remarkable Pep has been.

Winning all domestic trophies in one season. No manager in epl has done it. Respect is deserved.

Pep has won champions league. None has done what Pep has done when it comes to football dominance.

Mourinho won by hiding because he knows he can't stand Xabi Alonso tactically. That is why he chose Sam Allardyce football.
