notjustok00: You should receive the mail after a few hours. The embassy is a little way from the vac and it's the VAC that will send that information of collecting to you |

Please house, What has the day of visa commencement been these days? Is it the day your visa was stamped or a few days before your intended date of travel? |

You have a better chance with what I read here. You don't need all those utility and rent agreed stuff. Bcuz I didn't add any of these not even marriage certificate but I added my traditional marriage pics. Teegal215: |

Hello everyone. I need some advice on UK visas but please read this background. Background: I'm a dual Nigeria / UK citizen and currently separated from my ex-wife who I married legally (court marriage) from Nigeria and I worked very hard over 6 years to sponsor her to relocate to the UK. Immediately after she got her UK citizenship 4 years ago, she changed and got violent whenever we disagreed so I moved out of our home to avoid me vexing one day and hitting her. So we're separated and not legally divorced. This separation happened 4 years ago. Currently: I'm now living back and forth between UK and Nigeria and I met a lady last year who I married (only traditionally and not legally). My question: What is the easiest way for my new wife to visit the UK considering that my ex and I are not officially divorced. I only want her to visit as I've decided that we will stay together in Nigeria for the long term. But I'll like her to be able to travel with me whenever I go to the UK. My new wife is unemployed and has no income. I've heard that I can plan her bank statements ahead of time but I'll like ideas and any advice from the experts in the house. Please help a brother! |

Ugonwaeze:she will never be regarded as your wife by the UK until you divorce the 1st woman. I am sure you know this as they only believe in 1 man 1 wife. Secondly if she wants to apply on her own merit and say she is going as a tourist that means she cnt mention you as husband yet? She is not working so how do you want to show ties? Unemployment is a huge negating factor. Arranging bank statements mean u want to make a story of her been an employer of which it shud be a company, crediting her acct monthly with salary, then providing her with employment documents(payslips, employment letter, promotion letter maybe) as though she is an employee etc. a lot of hardwork and making up things that dont exist. Or self employment is another route. Those are d only ways Truth is thats not the only thing they look at, the whole process is wholistically approached by the ECO who after all this might still deny the visa as he is not convinced she will return to her home country based on other factors 1 Like |

Wales1111:Have a look at rightmove or zoopla they have lots of properties in the south east where your Lewisham is located. If you already on ground then churches and shop ads are a good place to start.Always view before you make a commitment as the photos they use are not always what you see especially flat shares. Good luck. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Thegamingorca(m): 2:15pm On May 20, 2023 |
isholex: Rather than a transit visa you can apply for standard visa as it will justify all the stress you are going to go through from procuring documents to self uploading. Reapply 2months - 3 months to when you want to travel In say, 3 months from now. Your bank statement should be clean with only payment of monthly salary as source of income. Your withdrawals on a monthly basis should remain consistent as well with stated purpose in transaction details above 10k for example feeding money, shopping spree, interstate transport fare. Disposable income at the end of every month should remain same or 10 to 20k more or less. The Open account balance if high must be explained as accumulated funds since employment. Though it would be a good idea to not make it too high so as not to be flagged for lodgement for visa application. If it is as low as 200 naira also explain why it is very low. The closing account balance must have enough money such that once your stated trip expenses were to be removed, what will be left can reach to book express flight out of the UK on even British airways. Don't forget to attach cover letter containing summarised details of who you are, where you work, details of how much you earn, Letter of employment, casual leave letter, letter of promotion, breakdown of expenses to be made on this trip scaled to oanda GBP to NGN exchange rates(your expenses should be only slightly above 2 times your disposable income at most) and finally state emphatically why it is imperative that you return to your work in Nigeria before the leave expires. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Please I have a question. I am applying for visa with my wife. She is applying for Skilled worker and I as a dependent. I have used her GWF number in my application. Getting to payment, hers is showing error during payment while my payment has gone through. My problem is that if she starts a new application, I will have to cancel mine and restart because I need her GWF number in mine. Has anyone encountered this and how should we go about it. Also I heard that if you try payment 5 times and it’s unsuccessful that you are forced to restart the application. Is this correct. Please I need help to inform my next decision. Thank you |

Cyprus immigration denied me entry, I want to know if this a red flag while applying for UK visit visa. Please someone should advice me on what to say on the form where they ask if you have travel to any country before, or should I go and enroll for another passport.

DannyBillgate: It is not a problem. Just make sure you truthfully declare the entry denial |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 6:43pm On May 20, 2023 |
Where was your destination in cyprus? You arrived North or South? DannyBillgate: Declare. Your passport will be scanned when you go for biometrics. If you were denied, Tell us why sir. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by DannyBillgate: 7:02pm On May 20, 2023 |
hunee: I was told at port of entry that my name was not in the school system while I have my acceptance letter with with me showing deposit of $1k I paid. It was fraustrating though I was not the only person, we're about 6 in number that day. Worst part be say they don't understand English and they will never give chance to explain yourself. |

OK. Declare this information on your visa application, because there is no way you can hide it, your passport will be scanned. Also, you may need to explain why and how it happened in a brief. I wish you the best. DannyBillgate: |
