Please I was denied uk visa in 2012 because I used another woman as my mother, my parents were already in the uk so they needed her to bring us and they don't have papers as at that time, so my dad told his twin brother's wife to use her name as our mother but they denied us because we were unable to provide birth certificate that they asked for because it was our real mother birth certificate we had... now I have applied for sch and I have my cas. I was 17yrs then so everything they filled for us then was done by them, it's over 10yrs and we weren't ban at all..

Sorry for this Bro. Pls next time, try to apply to more than 2 universities so that u can have options. Have got 13 offers all over the UK. From Hull(lowest fee) to Strathclyde, herriot watt highest fee.

Whether it's over 20 years. Your data js still with them because you have a unique gwf number which will be use to trace and extract your info. So please consider to say Yes where applicable of previous visa denial. That being said, you need to note your mother state in UK must be ascertain if she is now filing for you to come over. Make is right this time, get an affidavit to support your birth cert saga and explain your current status as per who your genuine mother is. Be mindful if she is still on asylum, you will be denied.

Because when they asked if he has a mail, I picked no, it belongs to someone else.

2. About our location, I used our former address in a different state to ensure it tallies with the address his father used as the main applicant during his application.
We have relocated to a different state pending when we will travel, I'd like to know if it's okay we use the old address, there is a section where they asked us to disclose previous adress in the last two years, how long he stayed and when we stopped staying there.

3. On his schooling, they asked if he's in school, the address, phone number and location... he stopped schooling at our former location in January, same location I'm using as our address in our application, he is now schooling in the new state we reside now, should I just say no and save myself the stress, and say he's not schooling or which of the school address do I put bearing in mind that I transferred his school fees to his schools account this month and that will reflect in my statement of account for POF

Option 1: Upload a cover letter stating the error in his name and the correct name
Option 2: cancel the application and restart

Your choice

A bit of a learning for everyone here. Before moving to the payment page, double check each section of your visa application and correct any errors you spot. It's also fine if you have someone you trust (i.e family members not agents please) that can look at your application and spot errors you can't see before proceeding to pay

Same process as usual

Fill the application form, submit it ,go for an appointment/interview . The decision officer will let you know if you have been granted or refused on the spot

Just ensure you have enough evidence to show you are returning to complete your study.

If you are transferring keep an evidence of what account and a copy of the recent statement of the account you transferred to.

You should be able to explain why that transfer was done and show your funds are available.

If you do spend out of it for accommodation or fees keep an evidence of your invoice/receipt

Happy Sunday everyone, I got a conditional offer from University of Sunderland and was asked to fill something called “CAS SHIELD”.

Please what are the questions I should expect to see in this cas shield? I will appreciate response from those who have knowledge of the above to enlighten me.

I am yet to fill it because I have made over 7 postgraduate applications and I am awaiting decision on the other applications before I decide how to proceed since the tuition fee for Sunderland is kinda high and less than £1,000 was given as tuition discount.

Please how do I response to questions from University admission committee regarding whether I will be traveling with my dependents?

I have read advise from people who insist a “Yes” answer may lead to denial of admission by the University.

Now this is my question: my POF is yet to mature, I think it will mature in two weeks time. After the 28days my POF will be given to me then I can use it for my CAS...
So .. I'm sure the money used in running the POF for the stipulated period might have been deducted back .. will it affect my visa process when applying for VISA later on or the POF confirmation will just be btw the stipulated date being printed for visa processing

From my own understanding; it's better to have the funds sitting in your account until the visa is approved and even beyond

Remember it's your funds and should have it handy in case they want to do a check
