You should know that we're from different backgrounds... What you call as pap there may not be the same thing here.

Just like you guys calling taxis buses.
observanc1:
what we call pap in Nigeria is not solid, it's watery

I thought pap is akamu, how come pap is now our usual semovita?

I use to see big brother titans south africa house mates using bread to eat soup! Please is that normal in S.A?

There's nothing wrong in eating bread with soup

One nairalander asked that I post about South African foods and I thought since I now have all the time to myself, let me do it now before something comes up.

mariahAngel, food is ready... grin grin grin

1. Samp and beans. You can either choose to eat it as it is, or you can add some lamb or beef stew on the side, even chicken stew... Personally I prefer beef stew because I don't eat lamb.

Having not tasted these foods before, they all look yummy.

It seems like black south Africans were feeding on grass before the white man came. How is it that you guys don't have local dishes and not goat this, beef that.

Nigerians in South Africa are really trying because have to spend a lot on foods. All these foods here look like dessert except pap.

Many people were forced to eat "swallow" in their childhood because "e get why crayfish bend". So yes, many people don't like swallow

Growing up, my grandfather used to dry the beef in the sun.. But these ones we just buy them from the store already dried, so I'm not sure how they dry them.
