Good morning house.

Please I got admitted at Cambrian College last week and have been looking for cheaper and fast way of paying my tuition deposit before June 12.

Please I kindly need opinion or suggestion on how to go about it.

Flywire is too expensive please.

Sadly, you have to go through black market, that's Flywire or other black market rate which will be pretty close to flywire. No way you can make that payment through Form A given the time frame......

Hi, in a situation where you dad is your sponsor and his using his personal account where business and personal funds go into as part of your POF. He also added a dorm account that covers way 5 times the 2nd term tuition. 1st term fees paid already.

The CAC documents shows 5 shares holders but dad and mum are actual owners and have more than 50% shares.
Is a board resolution needed to state that dad is the active MD and payment and entitled to use funds?

It’s actually dad’s company he just added a brother n friend when registering the company years ago.

Please your inputs.

Is it at Abuja they are stamping the passport with the actual visa? I thought it is in Nairobi, Kenya.
It’s Abuja. I’ve been communicating with one of their staffs for some reasons. She made me understand passports are stamped in Abuja Visa Application center.

Hello guys,

A friend of mine wants to apply for study permit for herself and her dependent baby daughter of six months, along with her husband, but the baby's passport is not yet out.
My question goes as thus, can she apply without the baby's passport for a start because of time..?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by CindyByFine(f): 7:36pm On May 22, 2023
Except she will apply for her baby later and use WEBFORM to tell them to add her as a dependent...if not, she actually need her Passport.

Good day everyone.

Please someone should put me through on mpower financing loan to study in USA.

Total figure of my financial plan in application portal is very small to what I need from them. For example I need $50,000 loan from MPOWER but in the portal there is a potion to put scholarship from school and personal savings (7,800+ 21,000= 28,800) this figure was removed from tuition fee and other expenses I. e 59,000-28,800=30,200. And I was asked to confirm that 30,200 as my financial plan but unable to continue because I want 50,000 from them. Please can someone help me out to resolve to my 50,000 loan request. Or I should not include my personal savings?

Thank you
Request for more than 50k then deduct your personal savings and make sure it gets back to 50k
For instance, if you need 50k and your personal savings is 5k
Request for 55k and then deduct the 5k personal savings.

In your case, request for 78,800 and deduct your 28,800 to get the 50k request

Hello everyone. I've been an active reviewer of this thread and it helped my DIY effort while I applied for my study visa. I submitted my online application 2 weeks ago and I have not received any request for medical though I received a message about a status update but when I checked there was no new info on my portal.

My questions are:
1. Can I go ahead to do my medical examination pending when the request is made by IRCC through my portal ( after which I will self upload my results on the portal)

2. Can I also use any QLife Hospital branch in Lagos? (Is it advisable to use them other than IOM Hospital)

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by laurilking: 8:36pm On May 22, 2023
Hello Gurus in the house. Pls I need your advise on how to go forward with my Canada study permit. I have HND in Biochemistry and I am going for PDC. I have Already sucured the admission and the DLI has provided me with LOA. Meanwhile, my employment status has been a bit of concern. I operate a small business that is into import and export and I do not really have money in my company account. Meanwhile, I do have have a landed property that that I intend to sell to use as proof of funds. Would this lump sum impact my application? Does my employment status as mentioned above matter? Though my wife is a lectuerer and she's going to add a letter of support that she will supports my studies. Also, First semester fees has been paid. It is a year program of 3 semesters. Advise kindly needed pls

When you say forms, what exact forms are you referring to?

- Forms that you will fill during the application?
- Forms that you will submit as part of your documentation?

Forms that I will fill during the application. 1MM5243 and Co.. I have gotten the forms. But my other question is that, do I have to print it and fill or just download and fill online.?

She is 27years old, she is working but no money in her account.. Can I use her account statement like that?. It's for my sister.

Hello Akinlolu,

Please, I would like to know the Microfinance Bank that was used? I sent you an email.

akinloluazeez:
My application was denied a couple of weeks ago:
Reason: Assets and financial situation …

I used Microfinance Bank for a year fixed deposit (18.5m) to be liquidated by April, including my MBS (Gtb Salary account with 500k).
I have requested GCMS notes, but I think the reason for denial is either the fund is insufficient, or the fixed deposit wasn’t welcomed.

2 years program Tuition = 29k
Living expenses 1 year = 10k
Health care fees =1k
Expiration of LOA = June 5

Guru in the house, your advice is needed: If I liquidate the fixed deposit, credit my GTB account within 2 weeks, and print out my account statement for my 2nd application, will it fly? Your advice pls…

It's like he will apply from Nigeria

We felt the processing time will be faster over there but I think we are wrong

Thank you for this

Our situations are somewhat alike. Both my spouse and I are currently on work visas in the U.K. My spouse has submitted an application to study in Canada (Jan 2024 intake) since March this year, but we haven't received any feedback yet. It has been 10 weeks since the application was submitted, and my spouse applied independently.

On another note, I have been in contact with a woman I met on Nairaland, whose spouse is on a study visa here in the U.K. Unfortunately, her study permit application was denied because her U.K. dependent visa was set to expire within six months, and home ties.

I would recommend that your spouse applies from Nigeria if possible, but there is no harm in trying to apply from the U.K.

I have come to share my testimony, to give glory to God and to encourage someone.
I have collected my PP as well.

Upfront Medicals - 24th April.
Submission of Application - 28th April.
Biometrics Request - 7hrs later.
Biometrics -8th May.
Medicals passed - 9th May
PPR - 9th May
PP Submission - 10th May.

My eligibility read that they were reviewing to see if I met the eligibility requirement. This God broke protocols for me.

My husband is my Sponsor and I applied without him and the children.
All statement of Account submitted were his .
36 documents were submitted supporting all that I wrote in my SOP.

NOUN doesn't send transcript directly to students but to the institution that needs it. I requested mine in 2021 for about 25 or 30K and it was processed and sent to the Canadian university within 1 month or so. That cost also covered the DHL courier service.

Pls can I send you a mail
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Army2022: 10:37pm On May 22, 2023
1) Yes. Go ahead and do it. Then send the medical sheet through webform and it will be updated. You don't have to wait for the request before you upload.
2) Yes. You can use any Qlife.

I understand you, and I will advise you make your request using the online option, those people quoting prices for you just want to take advantage of your desperation.

Ok thank you very much for the advice
They said it’s going to take 3 to 4months to get my transcript if I apply online, and I want to apply for September 2024 intake
Do you think I’ll meet up before the deadline with the school application for September intake, cos applications for January is already closed and May is on going

Yes, having a visitor visa does not make her eligible to apply from inside Canada. To be eligible to apply from inside Canada, she must meet specific criteria; one such requirement is completing a course or program that is a prerequisite to securing a school admission to a DLI.

She can apply for a study permit (IMM 1294, if using gckey account) from Canada. Still, she must choose Nigeria as her country of residence if she does not meet the above-mentioned criteria and must travel to Nigeria when she receives PPR to submit her passport.
I agree with the poster above but I ll like to point out that she doesn’t need to travel to Nigeria to submit her passport. She can actually do flag poling at the border to get her study permit. The PPR visa is just to allow her travel to Canada but if she already in here, no need for that. Her passport will just be stamped and issued a study permit.
