Penguin2: This is another misinformation from the obidients. Anambrans always praise and made mention of Ngige's performance in office and they regard him as the best governor in the history of Anambra until towards the end of Obi's tenure when Obi activated ethnicity to campaign against Ngige by saying he's in Amala and ewedu party , Awolowo party , Anambrans wealth will be stolen and channeled to Tinubu in Lagos etc . It took serious begging from ojukwu to get Obi elected for second and Obi capitalized on Fashola deportation saga to get Obiano elected as a successor . Obi was an average governor in Anambra and nobody remember him when rating his colleagues throughout that period 3 Likes 1 Share |

justified007: Obi was busy dismantling the wrong foundations that had held Anambra down. He concentrated in restructuring of Anambra politics and the structure and workings of Anambra as a whole and set it on the right path. The people didn’t understand these things while he was in office. It was when they started reaping the fruit of his works after he had left office that they came to revere him more. And hey, Obi was also very popular while in office. You are not from Anambra, that’s why you are arguing. 1 Like |

garfield1: Akpabio was rated because of Stadium. Amaechi was rated because he embarked on monorail that was never completed. Fashola was good; I give it to him. Now, years later after their times in office, how much gain is Akwa Ibom reaping from Akpabio’s World Class Stadium? How many Rivers people have used Amaechi’s monorail? But Anambra has continued to reap, in quantum measures, Peter Obi’s investment in education. Now, imagine Obi used the money he invested in education in Anambra to build a world class stadium in Onitsha, that’s only when you would have agreed that he had a legacy project but Anambra would still be 26th in education or maybe worse off by now. |

fergie001: The bolded was what I thought as well. Because with Atiku’s declaration would come a new cause of action which aggrieved parties would have 21 days again to seek redress. On who can sue a candidate for double nomination or wrong substitution by a party, I think when still a pre-election matter, only fellow aspirants in same party has the locus to sue. But once elections are conducted, fellow candidates in the election are then conferred with locus to challenge the entire process leading to the emergence of such candidate in the election. But let’s see what the Supreme Court will say. Though I am not expecting the Supreme Court to void Tinubu’s candidacy. But one thing we always overlook is that if we are talking about bribing judges, Atiku equally has enough financial war chest to pay judges double of whatever Tinubu can offer. At the end, their Honourable Justices will just have to do justice in the best way they dim fit. |

garfield1: Obi case is not only against Tinubu ,go and read it again. Yes he has a case of drug,25%fct stuff, qualification, and claimed that he had more valid vote than Tinubu. He also has a case against Shetima's double registration and some other cases .That was why they said in their petition that Tinubu should be disqualified and all their vote counted as Zero vote. He has a case against INEC also.Go through the 50 pages petition and reconfirm |

But once elections are conducted, fellow candidates in the election are then conferred with locus to challenge the entire process leading to the emergence of such candidate in the election.Pre-election matters that crystallise into post election are cases that touches on the Constitutional eligibility requirements of that Candidate. I believe issues like forgery, citizenship, been an ex-convict or so.. Honestly, I do not think double nomination is one of them. But let’s see what the Supreme Court will say. Though I am not expecting the Supreme Court to void Tinubu’s candidacy. chivic: Oga,stop embarrassing yourself na.any case against shettima is still a case against tinubu as it is a joint ticket.his case against inec is tied around the declaration of tinubu as winner.but theres a new twist,if atiku is declared,it means the tribunal will start again as the new 21 days to file petition will start counting from 26.it happened in bayelsa |
Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by garfield1: 8:28am On May 23, 2023 |
Penguin2: Oga,akpabio was not rated because of stadium but infrastructure generally.that stadium was the last thing he did before handing over and it wasn't complete.before akpabio, aks was a total village.all eyes was on crs.akpabio came and massively delivered basic amenities, opened up several villages to urban centres overnight.he empowered so many poor people overnight with his akpabiomber ideals.he is populist. The monorail was among the last things amechi did,it was never even 5% complete.how will people praise him for such rubbish? You funny oh.see, amechi provided infrastructure in both rural and urban areas.I went deep into rural areas in khana and andoni and saw world class schools and hospitals built by amechi in 2013,he had projects in far flung areas.he employed people massively, the militancy took the shine off his govt. Which investments obi did,is it the one both obiano and soludo have rubbished severally? See,obi predecessors are good financial experts so anambra will always be well managed.obi came and could not even raise the igr level of ananmbra significantly,it remained almost static like fidelity bank.poverty level under him grew.the only notable investment he attracted was brewery because he had prior personal stakes.a sensible man will invest only after he has taken care of workers welfare.obi sacked non indigenes from anambra workforce. |

Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by Penguin2: 9:28am On May 23, 2023 |
garfield1: Lol! So you think my mention of education means that was the only sector Obi worked? Obi started (from scratch) and finished the Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital in Nnewi which became Anambra State University School of Medicine. Obi invited community leaders across Anambra and asked them to choose what their most pressing needs are and he solved them. Obi built up the roads in Anambra. Those of us who are travelers that access Anambra both from Enugu and Imo borders saw for ourselves as did Anambra indigenes. The story that Obi sacked non-indigenes is a pure malicious propaganda of the opposition. Because those people were sacked after they failed basic qualification exams to test their capacity. Anambra indigenes were affected too. Wait, are you saying Anambra people are fools that they have been deceived to worship Obi like god since his tenure ended even though he didn’t perform? |
Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by Penguin2: 9:32am On May 23, 2023 |
fergie001: But trust me, Tinubu’s camp is jittery. I’ve even heard they are trying to get Buhari to declare Friday a public holiday just to stop the court from sitting. Lol! Remember that this is Nigeria. What if the owners of Nigeria strike Tinubu from there? Remember they don’t want him. But Tinubu is trying to muscle his way past them. 1 Like |

Penguin2: Obi did well in the education sector from what I saw in anambra.obi roads were not up to the quality done by ngige eg the Jerome udorji road, nkpor road. Obi sacked non indigenes,he did not hide it.nothing like basic qualification exams.before they were employed, they already passed through rigorous process.civil servants only write exams for promotion and IG they fail, they are never sacked but are not promoted.if you dont know simple civil service rules, get yourself updated. 85% of obi's appointees were catholics,we had what we call the agulu cartel.obi never appointed any non indigene into his govt.just like buhari, obi is a religious zealot.look at the average successor he brought in obiano.look at how he mismanaged his relationship with his predecessor and almost killed apga. |
Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by Armaggedon: 9:57am On May 23, 2023 |
Penguin2:I have said it several times. Obi did not do anything in Anambra. In terms of transparency, he may be miles ahead of Tinubu and Atiku. Even Obiano the drunken master performed better. |
Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by Penguin2: 10:07am On May 23, 2023 |
garfield1: Oh! You have finally accepted Obi built roads but the quality was not quality enough? Ngige was good and Anambra people applauded him and even started pressuring Obi to withdraw his case from court since Ngige was already doing well. But when Obi when eventually enthroned by the court, Anambra people now realized that even though Ngige was on the right path, Obi was miles ahead. I asked you, do you see Anambra people as fools who would worship Obi if he wasn’t worth the hype? |
Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by Armaggedon: 10:19am On May 23, 2023 |
Penguin2:Obi was not really popular in office. Apga barely won majority in the state HOA under him. Opposition always controlled senate seat in Anambra. He had a weak mandate, winning in 2010 with only 97k votes and losing in Idemmili, Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi despite federal backing and failing to meet the constitutional requirements of 2/3 spread. It was Obiano's administration that gave apga strong footing in Anambra by restorating majority in the national and state assembly and winning 21/21 in the election. Stop making noise about Obi, Ngige remains the best. |
Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by garfield1: 10:28am On May 23, 2023 |
Penguin2: My summary is that obi was never fantastic as a governor.he was average.again, obi believes in a one man show of micro managing everything and it is a recipe for failure.there is so much poverty in the land that at times it requires cash expenses and obi doesnt do that.he cannot manage nigeria. |

As for the upcoming supreme court decision. I'll like to see it from political rather than the legal angle. Buhari and his cabal never really wanted Tinubu from the beginning and his utterances during campaign and the naira saga with emefiele proves they really had an internal battle and the cabal truly wanted to throttle his campaign energy and make way for Atiku. Unfortunately for them obedient movement changed everything this. This verdict will determine the extent the cabals want Tinubu gone. To me, law is not the issue. 1 Like |

Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by Penguin2: 10:51am On May 23, 2023 |
garfield1: Obasanjo doesn’t want Tinubu. He even openly endorsed Obi. TY Danjuma doesn’t want Tinubu. He co-signed the press statement of Northern Christian Elders in support of Obi. Aliyu Gusau was one of the Chief strategists of Atiku. IBB stated openly in a 2021 interview that Nigeria’s next president should be in his 60s; that already envisaged one. Tinubu is above 70. Who then is Tinubu close to? |
Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by Penguin2: 10:55am On May 23, 2023 |
fergie001: You know I was reflecting on this with someone last night and I did reflect on if the judges would have the balls. But then I realized that once they sack Tinubu, that would be the end of it. There will never be a President Tinubu who would want to witch-hunt them for passing such judgment because they already consigned him to the dustbin. The judges have absolutely nothing to fear. If anything, they know that they would be worshipped as heroes except they are not living in the same Nigeria with us. |

Penguin2:They do. These politicians have their receipts. When they cleared Akpabio, Umahi, Lawan, Aliero and Yahaya, what do you expect? |
Re: Supreme Court May Sack Tinubu Over Shettima Double Nomination May 26 by Penguin2: 11:16am On May 23, 2023 |
fergie001: They did then because there was a president Buhari who is still in power. But by May 26th, Buhari would be merely 48hrs away from power. Again, I’m sure they feared Tinubu might win the election fair and square with no troubles around his election. But seeing that Buhari is on his way out (48 hours is not enough to witch-hunt judges), and seeing that INEC fraudulently declared Tinubu, the judges might want to judicial activists and save Nigeria from a Tinubu disaster. The next most likely persons to benefit from that judgment would be either Atiku or Obi. Now, why would they fear harassment from Obi or Atiku? |
