That doesnt mean Ruto will have borrowed 15b or 3B. He has won commitment from IMF, WB, AfriExim bank . Only a mad one think kenya has got 15B dollars - kenya gov would kill for 1/4 of that money.

You can't be saved 😂🤣

The copium is strong, even in the face of clear data from everywhere

Let me help fellow West Africa mad men with free education.

A financial commitment is a commitment to an expense at a future date. We may use the term for either a major expense or an ordinary one. Depending on the situation, the term may refer to either a very-long-term commitment or a one-off payment. Financial commitments exist in both the business and non-business world.

BasiGo [@BasiGoKenya] launches a high-power DC Fast charging station for electric buses in Buru Buru:

—Has the capacity to charge 6 electric buses simultaneously & is projected to support 25 Electric Buses by year’s end
—BasiGo now has 3 charging sites in operation in Embakasi, Kikuyu & now BuruBuru,
—The Buruburu station will serve electric buses operated by OMA Services and Embassava SACCO.
—The station is the first to be connected to Kenya’s new E-mobility tariff approved by EPRA in March
—The E-mobility tariff provides low-cost power for electric vehicle charging during night-time hours when Kenya currently has a surplus of renewable energy supply.

How much has been disbursed if you're not a baboon ranting as usual. Prove us wrong by demonstrating your intellect. The 1st agreemnt on 800M dollars will be on irrigation & dams under climate change fund for africa. That can only happen in the next budget that start from July. The process of doing PPPs for that is at infancy - so when was this disbursed?

That's when your treasury received the money.

You know what the boy's problem is and where this his new line of argument started from: He doesn't believe the afrimeximbank has that kind of money, $3bn. Now from the bank's site:
AfCFTA. Working with the
AfCFTA Secretariat and the AU, the Bank is setting up a
US$10 billion Adjustment Fund to support countries to
effectively participate in the AfCFTA. At the end of 2022,
Afreximbank’s total assets and guarantees stood at over
US$31 billion, and its shareholder funds amounted to US
$5.2 billion. The Bank disbursed more than US$86 billion
between 2016 and 2022.

Exim bank facilitate export and imports. I know they have funded KQ acquisition of Boeing Jets and such things - normally export and import related transactions.

They cannot offer kenya 3B dollars as loans. Maybe the Climate financing thing. I remain skeptical of this.

They are financing food supply to Kenya through your govt. Also aiding your govt with funds it can use at it discretion to help uplift your economy especially on the trade front. Those are budget elements

I was surprised when I accessed satellite data today

Kenya Power is taking more than eight hours on average to connect its more than nine million customers back to the grid after a blackout, exposing itself to the risk of renewed compensation claims by businesses for financial losses, a new report by the sector regulator has shown.

Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (Epra) data shows that November 2022 was the worst in nearly two years after outages lasted 10.63 hours on average, prompting households and factories to seek costlier alternatives.

My position has not changed. Exim bank 3B remain hot air empty committment until I see the money. You and the mad cow already claimed kenya has got billions smiley. Ruto was out looking for 600M syndicated commercial bank loans - and only got 200M.

Egypt alone where that Exim bank is based would kill to get dollars.

Kenya is begging IMF for few millions.

Bankrupt Ghana is overjoyed to get 600M dollars after having emptied their forex reserves.

He doesn't know it's in little things like those. He thinks afreximbank would just transfer a lump sum of $3bn to Ruto just like mpesa.
