Yes I have identified a few schools. Colleges to be precise.

I guess that's the first step. Choosing a program of study, a program pathway (Postgraduate Diploma) and focusing on an entry window (Winter 2024)

I still haven't decided yet. I sent u a mail

Wouldn’t the sibling/parent have to submit a statement of account?
If a lump sum is found, that would be another explanation
What can one do in that kind of situation?

It is only when someone is sponsoring you that u will need the sponsors statement of account and not gift deed. If the person is dashing you the money, u dont need the person statement of account but a gift deed to back up the money

Thank you! My maternal uncle is my sponsor , My father has a mechanical workshop I use that as home-tie because I work there presently since i finish my NYSC in march. I stated all that in my SOP as well.

What was the generic refusal reason?

Request for your GCMS notes to get the exact reasons.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

That was the reason stated. I have in my own personal bank account 3.7m as closing balance and the account has been running well because my dad customers do pay there most times and that was stated in my SOP as well. Apart from my uncle (Sponsor) bank account with 80m closing balance.

Thanks.

She can defer to the next possible start date with the same DLI as long as the TRV is valid at the time of entry. Changing DLI requires a new study permit application

I suspect the issue is lump sum deposits observed in the SOA submitted. Please request for your notes

Thank you! You mean I shouldn't have submitted my own personal SOA since i have a sponsor? Just decided to add it thinking it would be a plus for my application.

For the cost difference between domestic and international student, I would defer the admission and wait till winter intake.

That's the thing, the admission is only valid for this fall. And its a nursing program, the bsn programs always start in the fall. I considered going through the practical nursing route that starts in winter but all the colleges i checked don't accept intl students.

I'm interested in answers too for knowledge sake.

Should the sponsor's account be personal or business??

Personal acct to be on safe side. We have seen ppl visa rejected cos VO wasn't satisfied the money in the acct will be readily available for studies as they cudnt differentiate the money used to run the business from money meant for the studies

It's always difficult proving relationship with sponsor if the person isn't your sibling or parents or spouse cos the VOs will ask why would someone be willing to expend millions of naira on your education?

You can help your case if you can provide the following.
Do you have pics of yourself with your uncle?
Do you have his brith certificate and that of your mum? Then you also add yours and merge all.
Do you have evidence of previous commitments he has shown you? Like past occasions he has sent or dashed you money? Receipts of transfers, screenshots of previous chats showing stuffs like this?
If you have pictures of your uncle and mum will also help.
Note: I am assuming your sponsor is your mum's brother.

Bros I have an aunt who got Canada10yrs visit visa even US does it. Visit visa is not limited to 6 months, that alone is my disagreement, I don’t know about anyone working with visit visa so no comment on that. But u can get over six months visit visa
You can get 10 years visa no doubt, but when you're stamped in at poe its 6 months permit that'll be given. And you're not expected to overstay the 6 months.
So long as it's a multiple visa

Are you employed or self employed?
If self employed, why not continue to run that your acct and build it to a closing balance of say 6million. You can even get a sibling of yours to do gift deed for you to make up that 6million and state in your sop that your sponsor is to cover your tuition 100% while you cover your living expenses and other miscellaneous.
Also ensure to explain any lump sum in your own SOA.

As for your sponsor, you will need to explain lump sums there as well, and prove relationship as I stated above. Also do a notarized sponsorship letter stating he is covering 100% tuition.

Thank you! He is my maternal uncle as I have stated earlier but different surname with my mother! I will try and get pictures of us together. One thing can I apply again with same SOA once i get those documents you suggested?

I just finished my NYSC in march 2023. Currently working part time at my father's workshop. how do I go about the gift deed? Do I need to go to high court to do the gift deed? and the notarized sponsorship letter do I need to take his sponsorship letter to high court for notarization or he will do that himself?

What about a personal account being used for business. Is there any negatives?

Is it advisable to travel with spouse/dependents first time? Or travel without and they can join subsequently.

Ohk. If your mum can do avidavit to show change of name from her father's surname to your dad's surname name will also help. Generate a new SOA with a date close to date of submission of new application. Ofcourse you will use a new SOP to address the concerns of the VO. I expect you to order your notes first to understand the exact concern of the VO before reapplying sp you tackle them properly

No. Ppl with business accts are also allowed to use personal accts. I used my personal accts despite sponsoring myself as a business owner. So it's not a negative instead makes a strong case that the money available in that account wud indeed be available for your studies as it cud be assumed the business money will be in business acct.
