Good evening everyone. Pls I need help. Having great difficulty getting an appointment near me at a passport agency. I have had to open my ticket because passport is still not ready after 3weeks. Pls does anyone know how I can get a dummy ticket?

Note: I don’t want to reschedule my ticket now because summer prices are expensive and I would be asked to pay a fare difference. So pls can anyone help me get a dummy ticket or explain how to do it so I can get appointment at passport agency, thenafterwards take my time to choose date with cheap ticket.

Thanks in advance for your responses

Where are you trying to apply for the passport? What state are you?

Thanks for replying.

I am applying for my son from Tennessee. I applied using expedited route, then called when my trip was within 2weeks. The appointment they had was in Colorado so I declined and kept calling for Atlanta. Had to open my ticket when no appointment was available. Now I can’t rebook cause prices are high for flights and the fare difference is a lot. So I need a dummy ticket to get the passport and then I can choose a return date that will be cheaper.

Hello everyone, please I need help urgently.

I tried to apply for a visa to Nigeria from Atlanta. I've been to Nigeria couple of times also.

I've sent my a mail containing my passport and all necessary documents to the office in Atlanta. They told me I'll get my visa in two weeks but its over two months and I've not gotten the visa.

My flight is on Saturday and I've not gotten my visa. .

Please is there anyway I can get help? I need it urgently.

I'll appreciate responses. Thanks.

I'll sincerely advice you to call them up on phone and if that doesn't yield any favorable outcome, follow it up by going to the consulate in Atlanta

Also, I need advice please. I applied for Dropbox 1st week in March and after about a month, I got the 221g letter. Went for my interview on the 13th of May, obviously very pregnant but was still granted B1/B2 visa. Would it look funny if I sent a change of intent letter just a few weeks after getting my visa to say I want to birth my baby in the states? Hope my visa won’t be cancelled
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by lonejournal: 5:40pm On May 26, 2023
Please have you had a child in the US before? I also got a 221(g) after I applied through Dropbox. I am deliberating whather it has anything to do with having my children in the US.

Yes, my last visa was used for that purpose. As soon as the VO asked how many times I had been to the US, I told her, told her how long I stayed and why. She didn’t even ask for anything else. Oh yeh! And what I do for a living.

PPR landed this morning for myself, wife and daughter.
Applied April 2022(the longest wait of my life)
BLV May 6
PPR may 26.
I received PPR for my (second child)7month baby on May 23(applied 21 May 2023).
It's been a long journey but God be praised.
I'll like to thank everyone who has contributed one way or the other on this forum.
I followed every information shared here back to back and I used most of them till this morning.
I sent an emotional email this morning at about 9am and by 11.23am PPR dropped.(I used some words I got here).
I like to special thank @olasubomy for all the encouragement and words of wisdom he privately shared with me and shared on this forum too.
To those still waiting,it's coming and you will witness it in good health.
Cheers

where you asked your reason for traveling to the US, if yes, what was your response? If you were asked and child birth was not in your response, then you're on a long thing o and i don't think change of intent letter would do you any good. The change of intent letter is for people who got their visa when they weren't pregnant or didn't know and now they want to use it for child birth. But if you were not asked your reason for the trip, then i would advice you just go ahead and travel and hope for the best.

Like I said I applied 1st week in March and I was about 10 weeks then. In my form, I clearly didn’t write child birth as I didn’t know rules had changed since my last visa in 2018. There were no dates for an interview until this month. And when I got there, my interview didn’t last up to a minute. I wasn’t asked why I was traveling. It was already written on my application form. The one I sent since March right? She only asked my purpose for traveling previously to which I stated it was for child birth. She went ahead and told me my visa would be ready in 5 days. After that she added “I’m not saying you’re pregnant or you intend to have another baby in future, but there’s a new law for birth tourism”. And she handed the white paper for pickup. And I honestly didn’t know anything about applying for just birth tourism. That’s why I’m here seeking advice.

In the light of your reply, i would just advice you go ahead and make the trip but with the necessary preparations like having Doctor and Hospital correspondence, accommodation arrangements and proof that you can pay your bills (either by carrying cash that you can show at POE Or having it in a card)

Hello house, so good to be back on this thread again after many years.
I got my B1/B2 visa together with my ex husband in 2016 which was used for the purpose child birth.
My ex husband and I later got separated afterwards and he left for the US where he has been living and settled with someone else.
I would like to get a visa to attend my best friend's wedding but I do not know if my ex' stay in the US would affect my chances negatively in any way because I'm quite sure that the consular officer will know that he is currently in the US. I do not know his current address or whereabouts.
We have been separated for the past six years since 2017 and our divorce has just recently been finalized.
Is there anyone who had same situation as mine? How did you get through? Please let the gurus in the house advice me on what to do.

Please I am in the UK and I applied for US visa from the UK in June 2022 and was granted ,I went for a wedding and got back after a week. Since then I’ve not been to the US. Now I’m pregnant and my visa is till valid right after my EDD date . I intend to travel before it expires to have my baby in the US . The initial visa granted was B1/B2 tourism in 2022 with no intention to go and give birth that year . What do I do? Now that I want to go and my visa is still valid ? Please I’m travelling from the UK , and I’m on a tier 2 visa in the UK 🙏Anyone pls advice me on the procedures

Good morning all, Just to encourage anyone that applied for Dropbox and was refused on 221G, I got my visa approved!!

VO: I see you plan going on a 2 weeks vacation, What’s there for you?
Me: My kids want to see Chicago cos that’s where they were born so I plan taking them to the zoo, Aquarium and there’s a Lego land there (I had used google to search for activities in the city).
VO: (nodding and typing) Oh So you had them there? How old are they?
Me: Yes, then I told him
VO: what do u do?
Me: I told him my position and quickly chipped in my duties. (So it was like a conversation)
VO: How did you pay for your delivery?
Me: I was self pay, that’s like out of pocket
VO: what does your husband do?
Me: He is this and that
VO: (Looking interested) what does that term mean?
Me: I told him and we both laughed when he said oh oh I see.
VO: Do you intend to have any medicals on this trip
Me: No sir
VO: your visa has been approved, pick up in a week
Me: Thank you sir, enjoy the rest of your day.

I walked out without any document checked.
I noticed that some people where refused when the VO sensed dishonesty or lack of composure (keeping quiet after a question or giving an abstract response as though you didn’t understand the question, like you have something to hide).

Bottom line is God’s favour, honesty and preparation.

Blessings!
