Hi Everyone, I got a medical request but I did upfront and already submitted my medical sheet during my application. Should I just re-upload via webform? Or is there a way I can contact IOM to know if my result was sent? Please I will appreciate your response Thanks |

Hi Guys I got a medical request today but I did upfront and already submitted my medical sheet during my application. I was surprised to still get a request. Should I just re-upload via webform? My Canada study visa was approved but those of my dependent children were cancelled because I chose visit instead of study for the children. How do I reapply for them without duplicating my own which has been approved (onlibe) because that of the principal applicant has been approved. |

Good morning. A friend will be submitting application in July/ August for Jan 2024 intake, Please is it advisable to go for medicals now? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Accessed: 1:58am On May 27, 2023 |
Shadybeauty: Well, Upfront Medicals in June against application in July is okay. Even August is alright, but why wait till then, except if your documents are not ready yet. Another thing you can do is to book for or reschedule medical appointment against July/August and then do your application few weeks or days afterwards. Whatever works for you though. They are all fine! 1 Like |

How many days did it take to receive ppr after your medical was updated to pass? Mine was updated to pass since monday and nothing is showing up till this moment. They are reviewing eligibility and the other one. Though when they requested for the medical, they also requested for the police certificate in which I uploaded and they said they are reviewing the police certificate I uploaded. In anyway, I just want to know how many days it can take after medical status changed to pass. Accessed: |

Good morning house. Please I have a question concerning applying for Diploma courses in a college in Canada. Diploma courses are just one year programs, and the basi requirement is a WAEC result and original WAEC certificate. For someone who already has a Bsc, do you think it makes sense to add my BSc information in the statement of purpose? Will it be much easier to just present one's application as someone who just has a WAEC certificate, and not complicate it by adding information about higher degrees that have been obtained? Won't the VO start asking why the person is downgrading to a Diploma after getting a Bachelor's? Also, due to the fact that the Diploma is in a different field from my BSc, will it be better to just leave out the fact that I even have any BSc degree totally? Will the VO wonder why a person who is in their late 20s for instance doesn't have any BSc degree yet (assuming I leave out that information). In summary, I'm just looking for a way to arrange my application to increase the chances of an approval because the 1 year Diploma I applied for is so different from my first degree course and I'm quite worried because I heard that the highest reason for refusals is the fact that one is going to study something else entirely different from their initial course. I will really appreciate tips from everyone, and if you have a personal experience of this situation, it would even be much better. If you'd prefer to contact me privately, kindly email me via teacherfrancisca2021@gmail.com and I'll take it from there. Thank you so much in advance! 😢 |

sudo1986: In my case, it was same day. Maybe the delay is because of the other items you uploaded. I am sure your PPR will drop in no time from now. Let me be the first to congratulate you. Congrats! 3 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Accessed: 4:20am On May 27, 2023 |
Shadybeauty: The next thing will be to submit your application. Your application cannot be approved without medical test. When the medical test is done before IRCC requests for it, it is called Upfront Medicals. The reason why some people do it before the request is that, it saves time. Once IRCC requests, you are given 30 days to get it done. But doing it before the request will save you the time it would take for you to do it and send the result. So, knowing an application can only be approved after medicals, it is only proactive of you to get it done ahead. However, it does not guarantee you PPR. It only fastens the process, if your application is adjudged okay. 1 Like |

UtchayPro: I believe it is okay, If the Diploma course you are going for is related to your current job. You will simply need to reflect it in your SOP as a career-boosting move and fleshen it up with all the benefits and advantages it will confer on you. 1 Like |
