Tinubu didn't remove subsidy, he simply reminded u that subsidy has been removed.
Unless u dón't listen to radio or watch TV.
The budget signed for June has no space for subsidy.
Don't mind those haters who don't want the progress of their country. Nigeria cannot afford to subsidize fuel for the rich and it's about time we did the right thing if we really want a true change.
My happiness is that Buhari, the economic terrorist is gone forever and will never rule Nigeria again.

Go sit-down, Obi Ióst deaI with it.
Whoever won that eIectîón was going to remove subsidy.
Tinubu will rule them till 2023 and if it is possible to amend the constitution for him to have a 3rd term Akpabio will do that.
Those losers should move on.

We all know anybody who won this election was going to remove subsidy.
Buhari who can't actually control the effects of removing it was scarèd of doing it and did it to take effect when he has left office.
Obi was going to remove, same as Atiku, now Obi's followers are complaining because it was removed.

Indeed. Many Nigerians are bigoted sadists happy to cut there own nose to spite their face.

Fuel subsidy is one of the biggest organised crime in our Country impoverishing and underdeveloping Nigeria.

To that end, progressive Nigerians should be behind the Government bearing the burden of it's removal even if said Government is led by the devil.

That this is not the case for many, as we can see on this thread, is why I think restructuring and regional autonomy must complement all that Tinubu's plans to do.

The tribalistic, bigoted and anti-progress bitching of Nigerians is too much. All because someone they hate, due to their ethno-religious and sectional background, is in power.

Let us have regional autonomy so everyone can go and have control over the socio-economic direction of their own regions with their own homogenous people and needs.

That will be a progressive departure to what obtains currently where Nigerians are a people now totally incapable of pulling together, as we are seeing on this thread, in one progressive direction .

My advice to Tinubu is that he must not get comfortable with 'one Nigeria' as, for example, many Presidents in the past got used to the existence of fuel subsidy when they had pledged to remove it before gaining power.

Restructuring and the regional commissions he pledged must come on board within 6 months of his reign. We need to bring back patriotism and productively healthy competition into how Nigerians think and operate.

Only full restructuring and regional autonomy, where we all feel fully vested in the affairs and progress of our region, is the way forward.

U are right, completely.
During the campaigns I saw Obidents posting on WhatsApp status how much is spent daily on fuel subsidy and how it's arméd róbbèry and Obi is coming to remove it immediately.
Yesterday, I saw same people posting that it's a wróñg move.
For Godsake what's this hypôcrîsy all about.

It's undisputable that anybody that call himself president could remove the subsidy but Tinubu was rather fast in doing so without first and foremost, caution the effects it will bring to the masses/electorates. It's wrong.
Did u follow the budget from before?
We all knew it was going to be removed by June.
U are making it about Tinubu because he reminded us yesterday?
U want him to rewrite the Budget?
U think the marketers are not aware?
Sometimes we have to be realistic tho.
Peter Obi, Atiku or Kwankwaso whoever won, cañ't do anything about it rather than forging ahead.

As intelligent as Obi is.... He'd taken steps to remove subsidy.

Not just announcing it few minutes as a president and turning the country into a mess.....

Had to rush to get fuel for work tomorrow because filling stations began to shut down.

Would have taken steps before removing subsidy? You didn't read the "immediately" in that post?

Obi supporters don't get info except from their whatsapp group. So, don't blame them.

Tinubu did not remove subsidy. It was removed by the former administration. Try get some sense.
You that have bunch of senses how much did you buy fuel before inauguration or what suddenly cause scarcity and panic buying? Tinubu announced the removal of subsidy and will continue to be known as one who removed subsidy. Believe it or Bleep off.

And he hasten to announce it on inauguration day. Tell yourself the truth, were you prepared for this to happen so soon without consultations? I remain adamant on my remark that he is too fast on the announcement which has thrown Nigerians into panic buying and even promoted hoarding of fuel.

Whenever he announces it, it will have same effect.
I am prepared for his decisions that's why I voted him.
U get?

Stop the wholesale display of ignorance. It is embarrassing for an adult who is supposedly educated.

The budget Tinubu met has no provision for fuel subsidy ostensibly because there can be no excuse retaining it with Dangote refinery fully operational from June.

Hiking the price of PMS was always going to happen in June. Fuel subsidy removal or not. This is because suppliers of Refined derivatives of crude must make maximum profit from it before Dangote refinery runs them all out of business.

Remember, no more importantatiion of subsidizwd PMS etal into Nigeria if Dangote refinery is meeting domestic demand optimally.

No more scarcity of PMS etal in theory with the big plus being that the Government can plough savings on cessation of subsidy payment into other sectors like healthcare, education, infrastructure provision etc.

This is a good development on many levels your kind would have welcomed in December when Obi or any other candidate you supported were also singing subsidy removal. Now it has happened under Tinubu you are being needlessly and sadistically negative.

Learn to put pettiness aside, see the big picture and wish your country well. Everything does not start and end with you being able to buy fuel at 50 Naira per litre.

If the average Nigerian has to pay more for fuel but positive effects are derived in other sectors, like health and education or even provision of financing for SMEs that then translates into more jobs for our teeming population of youths, then those are acceptable positive economic trade-off benefit of fuel subsidy removal.
I will reason with you if you can only tell us how much exactly is the landing cost of petrol in Nigeria today? How much is the corrupt nnpc importing a liter of petrol?
What is the palliative or palliatives the Tinubu government putting in place to limit effect on the masses? Etc
