I read somewhere on this thread that family only needs one guarantor but when I signed in with my details to download the guarantor's form, my details came along with the form, can we still use it like that or I should download another one for my wife.

Download another one for your wife, since she's issued a separate application number and a reference number. Please 2 (normal size) passport photographs for each applicant.

If you do passport renewal, your valid visas in such passports will still be valid, your new passport will carry your expired passport number along with the new one, hence you see people (either dual citizens or expired passports and new passport holders) traveling with two or more passports

I forwarded this to an officer at the alausa NIS, and I was told only a high ranking officer can do this for you or you wait until its due for renewal ( 6months before expiration ) it'll cost you 4x the original price according to him, if you're in Lagos, he can help you out, if you're not, make sure you're handing it over to a high ranking officer else you'll wait up to a year, according to him.

Went to Sagamu for pick up today. I couldn't pick up for my spouse and 7 year old. They do thumbprinting.

Sagamu still seems to be the best in passport processing timelines and near hassle free. Crowd now seem to be growing though.

A family member, friend, neighbour, boss, colleague, a member of the religious group which you belong to can stand as guarantor. He or she will fill, sign, and get the form stamped (yes, you or your guarantor will take the form to a High Court to get it stamped by the Commissioner for Oaths). Before going to stamp it, attach to the form a passport photo of your guarantor. It must either be filled in black ink pen or in blue ink pen. Lastly, your guarantor must attach the Photocopies of his or her valid Nigerian passport data page and NIN slip or a valid Nigeria driver's license.

I'm fed up already. Going to ALAHUSA every week is truly worrisome especially now that tfare is nothing to write home about. Anyways, I've collected an officer number to be checking for me though.

The popular amount for such a document is between 2,500 Naira and 3,500 Naira. Two passport-size photographs will be required to complete the process.

I applied for my passport online, went to Warri office today at 8:30am for capturing.
The moment I told dem it was DIY Dey said I should wait (we were over 15 in DIY) after about an hour plus we were attended to by the servicecom.
They asked us if we want to drop something so Dey can process everything for us fast and capture on time, we replied NO. Den Dey smiled. We went through all the process and majority of us in DIY did capturing at (5:00pm) And where given our enrollment slip.
One thing I will advice someone in DIY is just be PATIENT, they will delay you just to see if you will pay but d more Dey see how relaxed u r Dey won’t even bother u, and also carry all necessary documents (Original and Photocopy). THANKS To everyone here cos I got all the information from here 🙌🙌

The background should be a plain colour (any). There should not be any distracting shadows on the face or on the background, but the facial features from bottom of chin to top of forehead and both edges of the face must be clearly shown.
