The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, has said he has no doubt that President Bola Tinubu will perform excellently as the country’s helmsman, given his antecedent.

The Oba made the declaration on Thursday in a congratulatory message to Tinubu, which he signed on behalf of Royal Court of Benin, Benin Royal family and the people of Edo State.

He called on the President to give priority to youth development, while praying that God and the ancestors would back the President to deliver on his mandate.

“Your swearing-in as the 16th President of this great country was a result of the fulfilment of destiny, the people’s will and, the wish of God Almighty who made it possible (for you) to assume the mantle of leadership.

“From your antecedent, we have no doubt that you will excel in this position and fulfil your mandate to Nigerians. We, however, plead with Your Excellency to give more priority to youth development in this country,” the monarch said.

If Tinubu performs then be rest assured it is because of the Obidient movement.

I'm saying this because Baba Bulaba will still reinforce same set of thieves so if by chance APC decide to surprise us then would be simply doing so for Peter Obi and the Obidient movement.

I mean the ignorants gave them 8 yrs only for them to flop big time...

I understand the Oba's view of interest, in drawing BAT's attention to his revered kingdom of Benin, and by so doing, he's not wrong..

PS: I see some Igbos kids saying trash about the monarch (even though you lots fail to understand from the king's angle), I spent quite a time in Benin and I can tell you that their people won't even batt an eyelid, while roasting you alive for disrespecting their monarch. But this is a faceless forum, so no problem..

You Igbo kids don't regard your elders and kings don't mean you should do the same to others. This is one of the major reasons why you guys are most hated and marginalized...

One thing I know is this Oba is not an ordinary citizen like some people and he has access to the president also very close to his people one of the respected royal father in Nigeria 🙏 if you abuse this Oba because of what he said then you don’t have value for your own traditions and your parent.

Oba e to pe e. Ise! He will perform but without the support of the people how will he make progress? Tinubu is not the people’s choice and as at today so many Nigerians still believe their president is yet to be sworn in. If today we decide to swear in Peter Obi as the 16th Nigeria’s president the atmosphere both home and abroad will be electrifying. We have gone past that dispensation where we accept anything that is being thrown at us especially in a country where widely the population is made up of young people who are expose.
